Just hearing their voices makes me so happy
Page loads, but not the video, here in France.
Why are paramount so bad with their 1990s view of different markets.
This one does work
It's not only Paramount that region locks things.
It's all about distribution rights and advertising rights.
That's the 1990s attitude. When a new Mandalorian or Marvel or Bridgerton trailer comes out you can't move without seeing it globally.
Paramount/CBS/Whoever think the world is still based around linear TV and selling adverts. When they finally throw in the towel I do hope it's Netflix or Amazon that buys the rights to Trek rather than Disney, but all 3 of those companies actually get the modern media landscape.
But I digress.
As for the trailer, it's not really doing it for me - we're in the middle of Picard 2, we've got SNW coming up, and just had a teaser for Picard 3 which would struggle to be topped. I'm looking forward to season 3, but no more than I was before the teaser.
I'm surprised they didn't wait a few more weeks to drop this to be honest.
Costs money.
Sounds intriguing. I'd forgotten about the situation with Freeman at the end of season two, so I'm now quite excited about the new season.

Looks like they're gonna open with a Search For Spock riff... and then episode 2 a journey into Earth's past?
If there are any of the current PTB that I'm comfortable handling such a voyage, it is McMahan and his crew.
I've already imagined after stealing the ship, they have all these charges put on them. They're put on trial like we saw at the end of The Voyage Home and all charges against them are dropped because they would've saved the day in some way in the end. Mariner says, "In Starfleet you can break any rule as long as you do something heroic after!" 
They can’t steal a better ship?

Maybe they'll promote Mariner at the start of the season, followed by
"It is the judgment of this Council that you be reduced in rank to Ensign, ...and that as a consequence of your new rank, you be given the duties for which you have repeatedly demonstrated unswerving ability, inspiring lower decks"
