"With time running out to save the future, Picard takes matters into his own hands and seeks out an old friend for help. Meanwhile, Rios ends up on the wrong side of the law and Jurati makes a deal with the Borg Queen." - TrekMovie.com

So in Marvel Comics, the Watchers are 40 foot tall bastards with balloon heads, that swear a oath of noninterference, but it turns out that their actual job is to make a cheat sheet for the next universe, so that they don't make the same mistakes.

I'm wondering if the Borg assimilate everything to make a cheat sheet, and then they take it back in time to help the past to make a perfect future... Which means that Borg Drones are actually Angels.

There are times when I feel like I'm being sucked into your stream of consciousness and will never be able to escape ...

But I enjoy pain & suffering, so there ya go.

Another great poster @Commander Richard. :techman:

It all depends on whether the watcher is Borg.

The watcher could just be some one the Borg had planned on taking advantage of, which might mean there's always a watcher watching at every point in the present, for the future, which is the least we should expect from the 29th or 31st centuries.

Or there's a Borg in 31st century LA, trying to pass for human, watching.

I've been loking forward to seeing this show to see if Guinan returns in this show and the people with the strange eyes and if Laris returns in this show too.

I haven't seen the episode but it's pretty obvious that the Watcher is going to be Guinan.

El-Aurians are listeners, but with Guinan's super-Nexus powers, she's always had that intuition. But would she be able to predict the point in time the change occurs? Guinan was never quite that specific.

I thought that Brent Spiner's character was the watcher. I still don't know who he's playing.

And Guinan shouldn't have those Nexus powers in 2024, assuming they don't contrive something to make them work in the past.
