I know they have to make a sophisticated show for the modern audience, but I hope it ultimately leans more toward the PG end of PG-13. Gene's attempts to sex up early TNG are total cringe, and I don't need my Trek to have a lot of gore or profanity. But at least they're not going full GOT.

I really doubt they'll intentionally drive off the "family" audience with anything more than your normal cuss words and graphic violence, and everyone does that these days.

I don't want characters to be unable to say what they need to if the situation allows it. Doesn't mean we need to have f and c bombs in every episode BUT humans are humans. In difficult situations they say and do things that are not necessarily right. Sometimes that's language. I'm okay with it... if the situation allows for it.

The whole "we're enlightened so we don't have conflict" thing was not a smart idea.
