Your trek "supergroup".

I thought we could engage in a little silly fantasy. If you had to pick elements from each Trek series (or even movies) to form your "ideal" Trek, which would they be?

Acting (regulars):

Anything I forgot:

Feel free to have a anti-supergroup (worst elements instead of best) as well.

Here's mine.

Worldbuilding: DSC
Acting (regulars): DSC
Acting (guests): PIC (if we consider Harry Treadaway and Peyton List to be guests)

Fight choreography (space pew pew): TMP, maybe?

Supergroups usually don't work out. You can like Yes and Genesis and like Asia, but GTR sucked.

There was Power Station:

Robert Palmer
Tony Thompson, Bernard Edwards (Chic)
John Taylor, Andy Taylor (Duran Duran)

Star Trek: Picard is the closest thing to a Trek supergroup right now:

There's Jean-Luc Picard, Seven of Nine, Data, Riker, Troi, Hugh (with Guinan -- and possibly the EMH from Voyager -- coming aboard in S2).

Picard has my current favorite Trek writer, as well, Chabon.

I wont go into a full mix of favorites but I would have liked to have seen Harlan Ellison write for DS9.

I'll add a little to this, because it's admittedly fun. Took this to a direction looking more at visuals and design...

Tricorder Design:
Phaser Design:
Phaser Effect:
Communicator Design:
Title / Credits Font:
Warp Drive Effect:
Transporter Effect:

Here are my adds:

Tricorder Design: TOS
Phaser Design: TOS / TFF (tied)
Phaser Effect: TWOK
Communicator Design: TNG (gotta admit, I almost went TMP wrist communicators here, but badge communicators was a pretty badass idea)
Opening Credits Montage: VOY / ENT (tied)
Title / Credits Font: DS9
Warp Drive Effect: TMP
Transporter Effect: TNG

Here's my anti-group:

Tricorder Design: Kelvin films
Phaser Design: Kelvin films
Phaser Effect: Kelvin films / DSC (tied...I hate pew pew pop gun phasers. Bring back the beam weapons!)
Communicator Design: TWOK (hard call....it's both cool and ridiculously clunky all at the same time)
Title / Credits Font: TNG
Warp Drive Effect: TOS films 3-6 (just bland streaky animation)
Transporter Effect: TMP (and not just because poor Sonak and random lady got turned inside out)

Super Group
Writing (plot): TOS Films
Writing (dialogue): PIC
Main characters: DSC
Secondary/recurring characters: DS9
Acting (regulars): PIC
Acting (guests): TOS Films
Worldbuilding: DS9
Visuals/production values: DSC or PIC

Fight choreography (space): DS9
Ship: Refit Enterprise, Enterprise-A, or Discovery
Theme song: PIC
First episode: PIC
Last episode: TNG

Main characters: ENT

Okay.

Writing (plot): Nicholas Meyer, Manny Coto, Ronald D. Moore and Ira Stephen Behr
Writing (dialogue): Whomever did most of Garak combine with whomever did most of Guinan
Main characters: TNG
Secondary/recurring characters: DS9
Acting (regulars): DS9
Acting (guests): DS9
Worldbuilding: ENT, really, or maybe TOS
Visuals/production values: NuTrek films
Fight choreography (ground): JJ films by a country mile
Fight choreography (space): TWOK, NuTrek, DS9
Ship: Enterprise-E, with Defiant coming in second
Theme song: TNG, just barely beating out TOS
First episode: TOS. None of the others were really very good.
Last episode: TNG, beating out DS9 by fraction of a hair's breadth

Anti-Super Group
Writing (plot): STD
Writing (dialogue): STD or VOY
Main characters: STD
Secondary/recurring characters: None, really. TOS had the fewest, but they included Sarek, which prevents them from losing
Acting (regulars): STD
Acting (guests):VOY, tho TNG was filled with sluming C-listers for a long time
Worldbuilding: STD or NuTrek
Visuals/production values: Considering budget and when they were produced, probably VOY
Fight choreography (ground): It's really all bad
Fight choreography (space): Not counting TOS. probably TNG
Ship: STD
Theme song: DS9
First episode: STD, with the others not far behind
Last episode: ENT

SUPERGROUP ADDS:
Tricorder Design: ENT
Phaser Design: First Contact
Phaser Effect: TOS. Blue is better than orange. But it'd have to be redone to look sharper

Title / Credits Font: TNG
Warp Drive Effect: NuTrek
Transporter Effect: Star Trek Generations

ANTI-SUPERGROUP ADDS:
Tricorder Design: TOS
Phaser Design: TNG
Phaser Effect: None, really
Communicator Design: ENT
Title / Credits Font: DS9
Warp Drive Effect: STD
Transporter Effect: DS9

Okay. Here are some others:

Warp Core:

Best: VOY or TMP
Worst: TOS

SUPERGROUP
Writing (plot): middle seasons TNG, and TOS films (it's a tie)
Writing (dialogue): PIC (aside from the gratuitous F-bombs)
Main characters: TOS
Secondary/recurring characters: TOS films
Acting (regulars): Kelvin timeline
Acting (guests): PIC
Worldbuilding: TNG & DS9 (it's a tie)
Visuals/production values: Kelvin timeline & DSC (it's a tie)
Fight choreography (ground): Kelvin timeline

Ship: DSC Enterprise
Theme song: I don't know if it counts as a "theme", but James Horner's opening theme to TWOK speaks to me everytime.
First episode: PIC
Last episode: TNG
Anything I forgot: Wardrobe: Kelvin timeline; Make-up: Kelvin and DSC (it's a lot of the same people)
