Brutish, ugly, and laughably overwrought in both appearance and function. Sure. Let's have six.No but despite being ugly, the Vengeance is a pretty awesome ship. I wish we'd see it again.

Sounds good to me...Brutish, ugly, and laughably overwrought in both appearance and function. Sure. Let's have six.
They all look fabulous. I would have collars on those duty unis though. I've always thought uniforms looked better with collars. Even the monster maroons were lacking without the turtlenecks.
Still think they should have repaired it, painted it white added some fluffy dice and called it the 1701-A.No but despite being ugly, the Vengeance is a pretty awesome ship. I wish we'd see it again.
I like having the enlisted ranks, but I personally would prefer the rank stripes on the sleeves.

Also, random off topic, are their any mannequins like this for the Kelvin uniforms? I'm not the greatest at the graphic arts, but I'm wanting to mess with some color schemes.
3 up and 3 down. Got itThe Rank I just used what I had for another project, I did a fast and dirty conversion and the lines did not translate well. That was a Master Chiefs ranking(on the left). For Officers, I could see rank on the sleeve and the lack of a shoulder rank tells you right off its an officer. I have it on the collar( on the right) and that is a LT JG ranking.

Honestly, I'm a bit torn between shirt sleeve and collar. I consider trying both when I design a uniform. I sometimes split the difference and have sleeve braids on dress uniforms, and collar devices for every day.
The ones I try to avoid are something like Monster Maroons, though they had the distinction of having a different uniform for enlisted.
Probably one of the better designed enlisted ranks that I have seen for Starfleet.I tend to do more than one type of uniform. A class A, a Dress uniform, some type of jumpsuit and so on. Real Life militaries do not have a one uniform for all things approach, why should star fleet? I am gonna do a short sleeve at some point and I feel like they would have something like BDU's for off ship in the field duty and freaking pockets. If you notice, my pants have pockets.
Oh and this was one of my enlisted ranks

Also, yes to the pockets!
Finally, some of the RPG books had some uniforms for TOS/Cage era that made a little more sense:

Yeah, it isn't great but I'll take more uniform styles over one. I think my 12 year old fan notion was that the garments somehow how protective properties or temperature controls. Makes as much sense as one uniform typeOoh boy, say hello to the 1980's. They at lest gave them more than one type

Indeed. But, you know, it isn't canon to use multiple uniformsHey it was an 80's RPG and art is costly, so very costly. IIRC art is over 50% of an RPG Books budget. One thing I do like on DSC is they gave us what, 5 uniforms so far? Not perfect, but we have seen jumpsuits and tactical gear used when it should be.

Yeah but often times canon is stupid and in dire need of a retcon.
I can't argue with that at all. You expect canon to be a building block, but sometimes it's more of a stumbling block that needs to be avoided or ignored altogether.Yeah but often times canon is stupid and in dire need of a retcon.
Now just a ding-dang minute. I see no claws, no cranial ridges, no evidence of four nostrils, and too much facial hair. These clearly aren't real DISCO Klingons!Plus this Klingon concept
