I am new to this BBS. I introduced myself last week in a few threads, and posted a few follow-up messages, but I am unable to upload images here yet.
I posted all this in another section, but it was suggested this belongs in the FAN ART section, so here I am. I will change the message so it is not considered spam.
I have been working on some Deck Plans for U.S.S. ENTERPRISE (TOS) for several months now. From the start, the project was intended to satisfy 3 criteria:
1. the details as seen on the 11-foot studio model
2. the details seen or heard in the 79 episodes
3. the details in the Writer's Guide as relayed to us in the book THE MAKING OF STAR TREK
I have the FRANZ JOSEPH set. I actually redrew them to familiarize myself with the task, but noticed there were many problems with the scale, the details, and the shapes of the decks. This made me realize I had to draw the entire ship so as to determine the size and shape of each deck within the hull. I don't show the top, bottom, front, back, left and right of the ship. Others have done all that, and done it well. I wanted to focus on the decks, but I did include a cutaway view from the port, and I also included a side view from the port to show how the windows aligned with respect to the decks.
I started with the DESILU Stage Plans. I also started at the edge of the Primary Hull (Deck 6 and 7) so as to determine how thick to make the hull and the floor and the walls, and how tall to make the ceilings.
If you have questions about the process, The decisions I made as I progressed, or about any details I drew, feel free to ask.
There are 18 images: 15 for the deck plans, 1 for the Legend/Abbreviations,1 for the profile, and 1 for the cutaway profile. I drew all the art in ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR.
Here is a link to the images. They are free. JPG on the left. PDF on the right.

Thanks.
