What ships will we see in the Starfleet Museum?

The only one that didn't get a closeup that was clearly meant to be A specific ship was the NX-01 Refit, and since Doug Drexler talked about that Enterprise showing up in the Fleet Museum in the days and weeks leading up to that episode then that may be the only one you could catch out of the corner of your eye and go: "Oh, that's THAT ship. No question about it."

The goofiest one clearly has to be the Saratoga. So they took an otherwise non-noteworthy ship in order to refit half of it into another ship only noteworthy for getting blown up (and that Sisko was its XO)? Why didn’t they just make that ship the Bozeman? Wouldn’t that have been a far less convoluted and sensible choice? :rommie:

Yeah, I don't get that one, either. I know, I know, Benjamin Sisko vanished into the ether after helping win the Dominion War and we need to honor him but...doesn't the second Defiant accomplish that just nicely?

Could they have done a re-edit of the cg shots for Episode six to put in the extra Akira after Annie passing by swapping the model file with Pioneer's? The credits from episode one clearly listed Pioneer, but for episode six it was not there, but later episodes Pioneer is in that spot.

I think the Saratoga was supposed to be foreshadowing that you could take pieces of different ships to recreate a ship that was destroyed. The restored Enterprise-D was basically created the same way.

I think they just put in the wrong ship and retrospectively came up with a convoluted explanation, in the classic Star Trek tradition. Hats off to them.

That was my take as well. They probably didn’t realize Sisko’s Saratoga had already been destroyed, despite not really needing it in the first place.
