Just like my other posts in the other forums, here is a thread dedicated to the awesomeness of DS9 station, the Defiant, and other ships within the show.

It's the opposite for me. I love the station. The Defiant is fine, but I'm not in love with it. I'm talking strictly the way they look and how they appeal to me aesthetically. Technically speaking, well, the technical/functional aspects of fictional design have never really ruffled my feathers. 
The more I watched the series, the stronger of a character the station became to me. And the open of the series had more of an impact as the series went along. The Defiant became a character of its own as well and added a lot to the show, but I was never drawn to it the way I was with the station.

I loved how detailed the station looked. We got to see various shops, the entire Promenade, and it was quite a thing to look at. I loved seeing the Defiant in action, but in terms of ship and design, it was decent. Looked like a flying pancake though.
Always loved the look of the station, definitely the most stylistically intriguing design of any series.
It didn't matter how the Defiant looked as long as it kicked ass.
I think DS9 looks kind of majestic and the Defiant is a little beast.
Deep Space Nine is my favourite of the spin-off shows, based on the strength of the stories and the characters. The Starfleet designs in the show, though... well, the Defiant and the runabouts were much more "functional" in design than aesthetically pleasing. (Which, if you think about it, makes sense in-universe.)
But the station itself... I've always liked the look of the station, with its concentric rings, and its graceful curving spires. It is a thing of beauty.

I loved both, it was nice to see a starship that went against the standard nacelle design but was still very recognisable as a Starfleet ship.
The only thing that bugged me about DS9 was the impractical nature of the pylons - if you're on pylon 1 and needed to get to pylon 2 you had to go down-across-up, etc. And when they met people at the upper-pylon airlock, where did that corridor in the background go?
But to look at - it's great. DS9's opening titles are the only ones I don't fast-forward through when I'm watching repeats (that's also down to the music, of course).
