The Death Star in Rogue One

The First Death Star is going to make it's cinematic comeback in December 2016. It was really coll to see it in the first trailer and I can't wait to see it on the big screen. What would you like to see regarding the Death Star in Rogue One?

I want to see the Death Star cafeteria. What sandwiches do the stormtroopers shove through their mouth vents? Is there blue milk? Are the straws curly?

My assumption is that the rebels never step foot on the Death Star, and we only see our villains on it. So I wouldn't expect to see too much.

You'd think that if a rebel team had already made it on to the Death Star then it would've been mentioned in ANH. Indeed, you'd also think the opening crawl would have been worded very differently: -

"It is a period of civil war.
Rebel spaceships, striking
from a hidden base, have won
their first victory against
the evil Galactic Empire.

During the battle, Rebel
spies managed to steal secret
plans to the Empire's
ultimate weapon, the DEATH
STAR, an armored space
station with enough power to
destroy an entire planet."

It makes more sense for the plans to be stolen from some secure Imperial facility somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if that facility is on or in orbit of the tropical island planet seen in the trailer. The one with the huge dish tower (planetary shield generator?) protected by a lot of walkers.

Obviously we see some of the Death Star, aside from the weapons dish being slotted in, the trailer does show that Grand Admiral standing in the Death Star's control room. But I'll be surprised if we see much more than we did in ANH anyway. The movie is about stealing the plans to the Death Star, not the Death Star itself.

Yes, our heroes won't get on the DS. People would complain it's a rip-off of ANH, anyway. Maybe we'll see Coruscant again, though.

Or they're stealing portions of the plans from multiple guarded planetary facilities. Which is more in keeping with us seeing them escaping their worlds through the occupation forces on them.

One thing said about Imperial military complexes...they are all modular. So a hallway on a Star Destroyers, or the Death Star will look the same as a hallway in an Imperial Garrison on a planet. You can start to see this even in the Clone Wars on their Star Destroyers and the larger military complexes on Coruscant. Even in listening outposts. The First Order uses similar, if not downright the same modular construction, so I imagine the Imperial sets will just be redressed sets from the First Order sets in The Force Awakens, which are already very close to the designs from the Death Star in A New Hope.

They've already used pieces from Kylo's command shuttle, and set spies have seen the FO trooper transport on location.

The Black Stormtrooper helmet is modified from the first order helmet, the Eyes, the top of the helmet, its even more clear when seeing it from the side.

I would like them to correct the scale ratio of the death star to the star destroyers because it is completely off. For the interior I would like to see some of the classic areas or areas that may be identical command stations throughout the death star recreated such as the communication center that 3PO and Artoo were in. I also want to see more of the outside of the station and new interior areas. Basically give us a better sense of size both interior and exterior.

I would like to see all the blinky lights be perfectly in time with how they blinked in ANH.

This is probably as close as I'll ever get to seeing the original Death Star on the big screen, and I am so looking forward to it. So, to answer your question: everything. I'm looking forward to everything.
