Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Alright, fine. If that's the case, let's get the usual debates out of the way. I'll get us started..... How big is the Patrick Starship Enterprise?
You could probably interpolate from the bridge "window" on the underside. Overall, the ship seems a just a tad-bit shorter than the SNW E, but its girth implies a larger internal volume. I wonder if its fartpulse engine is connected directly to the intermix chamber.

I need to see some orthos.

Fans are already at work on models, costumes and slash fic.

There are a lot of things in the SNW season 3 trailer I find questionable. As always, it feels that they will somehow make it all work. Let's hope that's true.

That's actually a thing? I thought that thread we had in our TOS forum was just silliness.
Yes? I thought that was well known.

According to someone in the comments, there is a description of the bridge in 'The Making of Star Trek' from '68 that does describe the turbolift being directly behind the captain.

So it's possible they tested it at one point, but preferred it being over the captain's shoulder. Probably made for a better filming angle when people were exiting it.
