You could probably interpolate from the bridge "window" on the underside. Overall, the ship seems a just a tad-bit shorter than the SNW E, but its girth implies a larger internal volume. I wonder if its fartpulse engine is connected directly to the intermix chamber.

I need to see some orthos.

It was originally about 300 meters long, but they they realize they'd never be able to pack in the entire Krusty Crab, while still leaving enough room for Gary. So they've upscaled it a bit into the 400 meter range.

Yes? I thought that was well known.

According to someone in the comments, there is a description of the bridge in 'The Making of Star Trek' from '68 that does describe the turbolift being directly behind the captain.

So it's possible they tested it at one point, but preferred it being over the captain's shoulder. Probably made for a better filming angle when people were exiting it.
