Starship Troopers 3: Marauder

Well I finally saw this movie on a late night, TNT of all networks! And I thought it was good, not great are brilliant or anything like that, just good. I thought the SFX & CGI were so-so, not good, but not bad, somewhere in the middle.I did think the whole ''GOD'' thing was played a tad to much, but it dosent hurt the movie. Now I would like to know why the HELL the FEDS didn't have those HUGE powersuits to begin with? it would have made the first movie a little bit closer to the novel, but it's to late now! So Thoughts, Opinions?!:vulcan: I give it a 6/10 it made for good late night fodder!

For a Direct-to-DVD production, I found it surprisingly enjoyable. It has the over-the-top satire that made the original fun to watch, now extended to both militarism and religion; there there was actually character growth; and, of course, gratuitous nudity, though sadly not including Blacock. Too bad about the crappy FX, though, since part of the appeal of the first movie was the visual spectacle.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

I thought it was good until they got in to the suits, not a great adaptation to be honest.

Gratuitous nudity!? I missed that part, ya know, because I saw this on TNT.:p

Network TV is the Mrs. Grundy of the modern era. Yes, Rico and his Marauders went through a minute or two of biometric scanning in the nude. (Which was pretty much the only time those characters actually interacted with each other, so if those scenes were cut, then those characters must have been complete non-entities to you... as opposed to the partial non-entities of the full version :p)

Who's Mrs. Grundy? and why do I have the sudden urge to punch her it the teeth?

I laughed a lot when watching this one. I felt like they changed writers halfway through and turned the people who had been built into villains into the heroes.
Of course, by the end I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe, so I forgave them any inconsistency.
