Reminded me, Thomas mentioned picking ships appropriate to the timeframe, so it's a shame it was too early to see this little fella:

Chances that the Verity and/or STO Enterprise F might appear are only increasing, I guess![]()
Star Trek Online designs are now canon! Awesome and FINALLY!
Well, only the designs they’ve used on screen. That does not mean that all STO designs are canon.
I’m pleasantly surprised that they are using STO ships instead of all Eaglemoss CGI models, since they are showing new designs rather than just old ones. I’m curious about that Excelsior variant. Is that a STO ship too, or just a standard Excelsior with upgraded nacelles?
And while I’ve never been a fan of the Odyssey class (especially as the Enterprise-F), I will say that the Yorktown refit does look better than the original design.
Admiral Janeway.I just wonder why SF would slightly change existing designs - are they all refits?
I'm thinking it may actually be the tricked-out Excelsior variant we saw last season in Lower Decks - the Obena Class. Its primary hull looks elongated in that same way. At least, it does to me...I’m curious about that Excelsior variant. Is that a STO ship too, or just a standard Excelsior with upgraded nacelles?

Whew... I'm going to be busy in the coming years with all these new ships...
The Obena had the side flared structures on the secondary hull that the Enterprise-B version had. This ship doesn't have those. So it's either yet another new class based on the Excelsior, or it's an actual Excelsior class with a new 25th century refit.
AH! Good point - forgot about that detail. Well, maybe the Obena has different subtypes, just like the Excelsior and E-B (and Lakota) are technically the same class, but have many more-than-just-superficial differences. The Obena had the side flared structures on the secondary hull that the Enterprise-B version had. Might be a while. They had the perfect opportunity to include that version in the latest Borg campaign and didn't. I was hoping to see it, like maybe floating around amongst the enemy fleet in "Hive Onslaught" or something, but nary a sighting.I wonder how long before we see the new variant of the BORG ship in STO.
Is that what the anomaly is? Its looks kinda Borgish to me.I wonder how long before we see the new variant of the BORG ship in STO.
I think it's a refit of NCC-2000. The ship pops out of warp and the next thing we see is Raffi and USS Excelsior reporting for duty.
Well they revamped a number of the STO ships in question a little while ago.
And we thank you!I'm thinking it may actually be the tricked-out Excelsior variant we saw last season in Lower Decks - the Obena Class. Its primary hull looks elongated in that same way. At least, it does to me...
