News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

I hope he at least gets a name here. It was bad enough he didn't decide on a permanent one in the 7 years of VOYAGER.
The Doctor won't give himself a name until holos have rights. As of Starfleet Academy he still won't have a name.
Cadet: You're still teaching after 900 years?
Doctor: Those admirals won't let me--

Doctor: I mean, Starfleet and the Federation have been so WONDERFUL to me and if I could do this forever I would!
We'll have a plot twist where the villain is actually a hero attacking Starfleet Academy trying to free the Doctor from his centuries long enslavement.

I just watched Paul Giamatti be amazing on Black Mirror, so now I'm really looking forward to him in SFA.
"EULOGY" was fantastic. Loved each episode of BLACK MIRROR this season. My favorites are "COMMON PEOPLE", "PLAYTHING", "EULOGY", and "USS CALLISTER: INTO INFINITY".
I literally just watched Endgame for the first time in a very very long time this morning and that always gives me a chuckle.
the doctor's back up also didn't end up with a name after living the kyrians and vaskans for who knows how long. So seems to be a doctor thing. Maybe he considers not having a name part of his identity. It's also possible that he has been deactivated since the late 24th - early 25th centuries and hadn't come up with one by the time he went offline.
Personally I hope he settles on Zimmerman to honour his creator.

Considering Bob Picardo talks about how he had to imagine what it would be like to be a continuously activated 900 year old AI watching 36 generations of friends age and die (including Janeway who he specifically mentions as an example) with computer-perfect recall to prepare for the Academy role, I think it's HIGHLY unlikely that the Doctor was deactivated for any extended amount of time.

Yep, and it should be noted, the Doctor in Doctor Who does have an actual name, we just don't know it. Shooting that comparison down even further.
