I don't see any reason to get rid of the FAQ; there are still a few people who don't know that much about it. Either way I think it would be a good idea to contact an admin and have them change it.

Luckily I won't need to since the mods read every thread so they'll be able to make any necessary changes that are pointed out in these posts as they see them.
Great!! Glad I could help out (in some small way) by bringing the outdated FAQ to the attention of the powers-that-be.
TOS-R seems to have brought a lot of new posters to the forum. I can only imagine that traffic will increase even more after the release of the upcoming movie. If you'd like to update the FAQ, feel free to do so and post it as a new thread. If not, then maybe someone else would like to take over that task.

I notice that the answer to "What's William Shatner been up to lately?" question is also outdated.

Four years ago, I made an FAQ that was timely. TOS was coming out on DVD, a lot of people were (re)discovering it, so I wrote it with that in mind.
It needs to be written in a way that doesn't need constant updating. The facts in the FAQ shouldn't change no matter how much time passes. The FAQ needs to be opinion-free and time-neutral. It's a good thing most of this FAQ fits those parameters.

I didn't know Shatner and Nimoy's birthdays were so close together...Nimoy shows his age much more than Shatner.

I posted the new version of the FAQ in the questions thread. Then spent hours editing it. It's proofread, organized, and all that. If everyone thinks it looks okay, I'll post the new FAQ in a thread and we can unpin this one. Please speak up so I'm not hanging.
