I checked out Warped but I - yeah, snowflakey - was so upset by the contents that it became the only book I ever returned.

I wonder if the next episode is called “The Lower Decks”, or “Lower Decks, Part 2” or something close. Jessie Gender said that while this was a pun of “The Inner Light”, the episode’s content had more to do with the “Lower Decks” episode.

The full story if you will started with a Twitter account where Mike McMahan posted a bunch of parody plot descriptions to hypothetical TNG S8 episodes. Then back around 2015 he took twenty or so of his favorites and published them in a book titled Warped which claimed to be the episode guide to this supposed eighth season of TNG, complete with an extended synopsis of the full episode and behind the scenes info for the episodes.

It really is quite hilarious.
Thanks! I'll check it out.

Fun episode. I think the only Easter egg that got by me was the title itself.

Hmm. It's been a while since I read CLB's The Face of the Unknown. So I'm not sure how well this version of the prototype species for Balok's puppet squares with CLB's version.

And is "Zorky's" maybe an oblique Infocom Easter egg? (Hello, sailor!)

Hmm. Given the SW Easter eggs in this two-part season finale,
A young Alderaanian woman with a distinctive hairstyle walks into Mudds, and asks to see the information broker.
"Aren't you a little short for a Dassik?"

I've just rewatched "The Inner Fight" for the fourth or fifth time, and came over all unnecessary yet again when Billups took off his bounty hunter helmet and shook out his mussed up hair
(And also: Ma'ah! :adore:)
