It's the end of the line. The show that kickstarted Trek's 2017 revival on television is done. This episode will include additional footage that was shot to serve as an epilogue.

"Trapped inside a mysterious alien portal that defies familiar rules of time, space, and gravity, Captain Burnham must fight Moll – and the environment itself – in order to locate the Progenitors’ technology and secure it for the Federation. Meanwhile, Book puts himself in harm’s way to help Burnham survive and Rayner leads the U.S.S. Discovery in an epic winner-takes-all battle against Breen forces." - TrekMovie.com

I wonder if it will be like Joss Whedon's "Justice League" where we can see the reshoots a mile away, because the actors had to be assembled on short notice, look different for their other projects going on & have to wear bad wigs, gained weight, and Doug Jones' moustache had to be CGI'd out.

The reshoots are an epilogue, so it's okay if the characters look a bit different. I'm picturing something like the Enterprise-G scene in Picard's third season.

Don't be surprised if this isn't the last we've seen of this crew though.
Yeah they totally could (and should) make a streaming movie. Somewhat after the S31 movie, though not immediately after (otherwise it's just "Discovery" movies, not "Trek" movies), but also not too late. If they actually do more than one of those.

Wilson Cruz wasn't present during the reshoots but Culber will be in the scene.

I really wish they would release the episode early instead of in the middle of the night/early morning.

They did that during the first two seasons, everyone complained that they were "sticking too rigidly to the outdated network model" and that they "need to start acting like a true streaming service and release the episodes at midnight/early morning."

You reap what you sow.

I'm going to make a night of it. I plan on having Brazilian food and I'll have a bottle of dry Red Wine.
Is Brazilian food a reference to something or just good food ?
I ask because I love food and will do things like have Spanish food with German beer this Saturday night for the European Champions League final.
