In the centerpiece of the weekend, Star Trek: Celebrating 50 Years will take over Hall H on Saturday, July 23 (2p.m. - 3p.m.), when the legendary William Shatner (Star Trek: The Original Series) and Star Trek alumni Scott Bakula (Star Trek: Enterprise), Michael Dorn (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager) and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) take the stage to reflect on 50 years of Star Trek and its indelible mark on our world, as well as what’s to come from Fuller's series.

The conversation will be moderated by Bryan Fuller, executive producer of the new Star Trek television series coming to CBS All Access, following its network premiere in January 2017.

I anticpate much excitement. It seems they are allowed despite being slap bang in the middle of STB's first weekend (well they're hosting the premiere at SDCC)

I doubt much detail will be gone into. Not unless it really is an anthology starring (amongst others) the assembled actors.

Given Fuller's hosting, he should prepared for a joke or two about waiting for the phone to ring I'm sure...

Shatner will probably ask when he's going to be in it. By the sounds of things we're going to get just enough juice to suck on at least for a few days? I hope. I'm so excited to learn about this show!!

Fuller told us it's not an anthology nor is it set after TUC, before TNG.

I wish I could go to SDCC this year, just for this event. Hopefully, all the panels (as well as pieces on the artwork installation, etc.) will be recorded and included on some 50th Anniversary/Beyond/ST2017 Blu-Ray.

The artwork is making appearances at other locations around the country, you may be able to get to one of them. The panel I hope is on YouTube before a Beyond release.

Anything that's important and not exclusive to SDCC like the premiere of Star Trek Beyond will be online moments after it's shown at the convention. Even then, someone will probably stream or record the entire panel.

I think we will see a lot of new information. I guess this thread is a good "official" thread to post them on.

I expect to hear more about the timeline and the setting of the show, going by Fuller's interview with Collider. Hoping we get casting news, you don't book Hall H just to talk about the timeline!

Why doesn't DS9 get more love? They have Worf be the rep despite the fact that he only spent 4 seasons on the show? On top of that, he is more well known from TNG.

How bout Captain Sisko? Miles? Admin Shimmerman?

Lame.

Maybe they were busy. I would have loved to see one of those guys, though, no offence to Dorn.

Remember the week after is TrekVegas, surely there is an opportunity to create a buzz there too?

It sounds we will be getting New Series news as apart of the panel, it will be interesting to see how they format that with discussion of the 'first 50 years' as they want to respect the guests then move on to the new stuff? I wonder if any if not all guests are involved in the series perhaps?

Casting won't be far away at all if they want to roll cameras in September. Again, Vegas may be more of a time to announce it? I'm surprised this panel is going on to be honest and I'd assumed they wanted to give SDCC to Beyond, but maybe CBsd/Paramount came to an agreement - past, present and future?

For SDCC we may get a title, an image or two and maybe a character or two? That's my prediction. I'm hungry for information!!
