If its going ahead and the rumours are george kirk will appear, who would you like to direct it JJ abrams or Justin lin. If Jj does it will he tear up what justin left, like changing the ship and uniforms, or if justin does it will he revamp it more with a new look on the bridge.I would like justin to do it as i think his visuals are far better than Jj abrams.

I would prefer Justin Lin. His visual filming is cleaner and he does research how he present the ship and space.

As much as I like Abrams' kinetic visual style, I'd much prefer Lin, who is not obsessed with the "mystery box" like Abrams is.

Some scenes in Beyond were a little too frenetic for me to follow. If they're toned down a bit in 4, I'd be happy with Lin.

Actually, following that logic, Quinto should have done Beyond, since the third movies are always directed by the XO. Nimoy did TSFS, Frakes did Insurrection.

I'm less concerned tbh with who does direct it with who doesn't, specifically Abrams. I rewatched Beyond the other day and realised that whilst it's not great, I had been somewhat prejudiced against it by the first two which I hated with a passion, in no small part because of the lens flare, frantic and confusing scenes, wandering camera and forced, overwrought performances.
