Did I dismiss OUAT? No. I asked questions.

Sure I can, it's how I've been picking movies for 20 years.

I generally give a TV show about 1-5 episodes to catch my interest. If I'm not sold by the 5th episode, I bail.

For me, the show is good from the word go. "Encounter at Farpoint" is an excellent premiere.

Meh, if the first season is weak, I've zero interest in continuing. Show's gotta open strong or I don't stick around.

Watched both shows.


the OG had a very good and broad cast (William Sadler, Nick Wechsler, Colin Hanks, Appleby, Heigl, Fehr, Behr, Appleby).
Mostly disliked the teen drama Liz/Maz aside, but loved the discovering/alien origin storylines in the OG. Some memmorable and wonderful soundtracks/themes too.


As for the reboot - liked the actresses of the Ortecho sisters (Midthunder, Mason) and found the literally "earthly alien Ortecho" storyline a big improvement.
As for the rest however, the drama felt turned up to 11 and the alien storylines were a lot less/interesting too me.
