Great start to season 5! :bolian:

I love the pacing this year and was shocked when I thought it was nearly done and we still had 20 minutes to go. :)

Jane is really pregnant and Laura/Frankie have mutually agreed kissing each other was a bad idea. :techman:

Now we just have to get through next week's funeral. :(

Yeah. It was touching. I actually kept hoping during the final speech that the show would break character and Angie would just start talking about "My co-star, Lee Thompson Young...". I don't think it would have bothered anyone at all to address the tragedy directly like that.

I agree. Very well acted and you could see the crying was not made up, which made you love them as actors and people more because they were crying for a real friend. Great episode, classy. Nicely done.

Wow.

I finally got to watch this week's ep and it did not disappoint.

It pained me to watch them "act" emotionally to Frost's loss, because you knew it "wasn't" all just an "act."

It's a small thing, but I was glad to see Frost's father actually made it to the funeral. After all, he is a freaking Admiral! He IS one of TPTB's and should have been able to arrange last minute transport home for his only son.

The first two eps of season 5 have had such powerful final scenes.

But as amazingly understated this one was, the scene that ended episode 2 just tore my heart right out of my chest.

Good one last night but I could kill Angela for stealing Jane's thunder re: telling her family about the pregnancy. At least she got to tell Korshak.

Also glad they didn't play the "Jane is shot and loses the baby" scenario last night, although the season is still young and they can pull that trick out at any time.

Oh, and Jane? Enjoy your Ding Dong next time. Just tell Maura you need all the calcium carbonate = rock, you can get to build healthy bones in your growing fetus.

You don't think they'll bring back FBI Agent Gabriel Dean (Billy Burke) now that "Revolution" has been canceled, do you? :wtf:

The focus on the main 4 characters continues, with even more intensity on the central core friendship of Jane & Maura. I'm just shocked Maura would put pregnant Jane in something as dangerous as a sidecar!

I wish they weren't making Angela as annoying this year as they made her in season 2.

I'm surprised big sister Jane didn't tease Frankie about wanting to become a nudist since she found him chatting up "Criminalist Susie Chang". ;)

WAIT just one cotton picking moment.

Just what was Maura suggesting when Jane asked her "Its not true about French women, is it?" and Maura replied, "I don't know, I've never had one?" :eek:

Maura buys a motorcycle then sticks Jane in the side car. :vulcan:

I NEVER would have cast Maura in the "Butch" role in this relationship. :rommie:

The funny thing about this extremely angsty "Rizzles" shipper video is that despite using clips from season 5, the videographer completely ignores the 2014 storyline.

In the current storyline, one could easily say Jane HAS chose Maura over Casey, not the other way around.

That would have been a lot better with the original Sound of Silence instead of whatever that crap version was. I had to mute it.

Jane is getting wonderfully snarky this year.

JRiz: "What were you reading?"
Suspect: "Proust"
Korshak: "I didn't think anyone still read Proust"
JRiz: "Which ONE of Proust's many books were you reading?"
Suspect: Look, I'm telling the truth.
JRiz: You have motive, access and your alibi is not only flimsy, its kind of pretentious.

Good ep, still loving the dynamic between our two leads this year.

So, will the new guy die, become a criminal, or decide he's ready to fulfill his hidden desire to switch genders? :p

Come on, there's no way Maura will be able to have a straight forward relationship in this show! ;)

My sound on this weeks episode was all messed up. Have the dvr set for the next time it appears. I was so looking forward to seeing this guy for Maura.

I just started reading the books, haven't gone in order.....but I must say I like Frankie on tv MUCH better.

I enjoyed this week's ep once again, especially the way Jane teased her friend's idiosyncrasies. Also liked the insight we got into "Criminalist Suzie Chang" and the backstory on Korshak. This week even redeemed Angela as she interacted with Korshak.

The crime of the week wasn't bad either, although I'm sure we all knew who the killer was the minute we met him.

Uh oh.
