Kim: The Vidiian ships are all disabled, sir. They're not pursuing.

Paris: Ready to go to warp, sir.

TUVOK: "Set a course for the planet where we left the Captain and Commander Chakotay. Warp six."

 

[CaptVader]

Paris: Aye, aye, sir.

(Janeway is tending some quite mature seedlings in a vegetable plot. She and Chakotay have stopped wearing their comm. badges.)

Chakotay: How are they coming?

 

[CaptVader]

Janeway: Very nicely. We should have vine-ripened Talaxian tomatoes in a couple of months, unless this planet has the equivalent of tomato bugs. Oh, they're awful.

 

[Orac]

Chakotay: I would never have thought of you as a gardener.

 

[CaptVader]

Janeway: I grew up around farmers. My parents insisted we learn some basic gardening skills.

 

[Orac]

Chakotay: Did you hate that as much as camping?

 

[Oddish]

JANEWAY: "Of course. Who wanted to muck around in the dirt when you could be studying quantum mechanics? But I find it very satisfying now, watching the seeds sprout and grow."

 

[Orac]

Chakotay: If your tomatoes could spare you for a minute, I'd like your opinion on something in the house.

JANEWAY: Well, you've come to the right person. I always have an opinion.

 

[CaptVader]

Chakotay: Really?

 

[Orac]

Chakotay: What do you think?

Janeway: A boat!

 

[CaptVader]

Chakotay: You said you wanted to explore the river. I think I could build this.

 

[Orac]

Janeway: We could go on a camping trip.

 

[Oddish]

CHAKOTAY: "I'm not sure we could fit the bathtub in the boat."
