NFL Offseason 2011 - The Longest Yard?

Oh snaps! Chad Ochocinco traded to the Patriots for two late-round picks, one in 2012 and one in 2013. He's also already agreed to a new three-year deal with the Pats.

The Bears are actively shopping tight end Greg Olsen, who, with five touchdowns this past season, was their best receiver. (He IS their best receiver -- he's a wideout built like a tight end.)

If they do trade him (agent Drew Rosenhaus says the team will be "extremely reasonable" on compensation), that will leave only one first-round draft pick -- perpetually injured and terrible offensive lineman Chris Williams -- still on the roster during Jerry Angelo's tenure.

And all of this because Mike Martz hates tight ends. Eat a bag of dicks, you sack of shit.

The Bears just traded Greg Olsen to the Panthers for a player (not Steve Smith) and a draft pick.

So Arizona finally pulled the trigger, offering Kevin Kolb a 5 year, 63 million dollar contact. 20 million guaranteed.

Uh...what?

Yeah, that's kind of an odd deal, considering he's pretty much Matt Leinart with a better completion percentage.

In other news,

MOTHERFUCK BEARS WHAT THE FUCK

YOU HAVE ONE GOOD WIDE RECEIVER AND HIS NAME IS GREG OLSEN

CUTLER CONNECTS WITH HIM

THE GUY IS LIKE GODDAMN SPEEDY GONZALES

AND YOU TRADE HIM FOR A BOX OF FOOTBALLS

MAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTZ I'm coming for you

:wtf:

I believe in the old days this was called a butt-raping. Philly made out like bandits here--Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick would've been sufficient for an unproven Kolb. I don't care what Kolb's character may be like, he hasn't proven that he's worth nearly that much.

I think Kolb has potential. He might be worth the price. At this point, I don't think they know that, though, so it's hard to say, but his upside hasn't been seen yet.

Anyway, I like the trade. Arizona needed a QB, the Eagles could use someone to go with Samuels. Now if they had a CB who could tackle, that would be good. Of course, this trade has already been overshadowed by the Patriots' moves.

Offense? We don't need to stinkin' offense! Cutler can throw to...the Bud Light vendor roaming the stands? As a Bears fan, it pains me to say that the likelihood of lightning striking twice ain't gonna happen this year unless management have some major surprises they've managed to keep hidden. Not holding my breath on that.

That and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee.

He might develop into something good, sure, but $63,000,000?

Kolb has a career rating of 73.2, with 11 TD's, 14 INTs, and 5 fumbles.

Not exactly barn-burning stats there....

Nope, which is why I'm glad he was traded to someone else. I think it was absolutely premature. I was trying to reassure you that he's halfway decent, though. In the end, it might be the fair price for him, so it'll be no harm no foul.

Wow... both Haynesworth and Ochocinco. I suppose if anyone can get them to pull their acts together, it would be Belichick. I'll be interested to see how this plays out.

Denver's not doing a whole lot yet. We traded Gaffney for a DE from Washington, got our draft picks under contract, and signed a shit-ton of undrafted free agents. No veteran running backs, no veteran DTs, and we're up to 4 QBs now.

Ocho and BB are buddies, I can see this working. Ocho has no off the field baggage, just a major 'look at me' complex which doesn't fly in New England. He was disgruntled with a cut rate organization, can't say I blame him.

Albert is the bigger gamble to me. His work ethic and desire are questionable.

Former Dallas WR Roy Williams is headed to Chicago. Haven't found any details on the contract length or money, yet.
