NCAA Football 2018

That's crazy.

Well, at least my Trojans didn't totally embarrass themselves against Notre Dame.

I can't believe they've already announced Clay Helton is safe. He needs to go.

Looks like USCw will go with the fire all assistants plan that never seems to work out.

I can totally see Helton being canned mid season next year

UNC brings Mack Brown back...weird.

Oklahoma’s victory pretty much narrows the field to 6. Maybe even 5, although I suppose Ohio State has angles still if they either win by 30 or Clemson loses. It puts to bed any hope of UCF or two loss teams getting in.

So happy Georgia is making the game interesting. If they win, utter pandemonium.

So Alabama wins now barring a possible but unlikely one minute TD.

Looking a lot like Alabama, Clemson, ND, Oklahoma. But I guess Clemson could still lose or the committee could randomly decide Ohio State is better than ND after all.

I doubt an undefeated ND team gets supplanted by OSU, even if they beat Northwestern tonight.

Just coming in to say this... GO HUSKIES!!!

Yes! As a Washington alum and current employee.....Ohio State better get ready to Bow Down! The purple reign is coming for them!

Really...that performance at the Pac-12 championship was pretty pathetic on the part of our offense. Hopefully the break until the Rose Bowl will give a chance to rest and practice to be better.

UCF not being in the playoff - ridiculous.

UCF not being chosen for the playoff is reasonable, but not having any opportunity to prove they deserve to be there in ridiculous. What kind of sports league has half the teams eliminated from contention before the first game is played?

I have no sympathy for UCF. As bad as my Vols were we played the 2nd toughest schedule in the nation. We didn't lose to a single team that isn't bowling and still managed to knock off two top 25 teams. We were an erratic team with serious OL and roster problems (at times terrible isn't a harsh enough word to describe our OL) but even we likely would've went undefeated with that schedule. We for damn sure wouldn't be sitting at home this bowl season had we played an SOS in the 90s.

If UCF wants in they need to schedule better. They can go independent just like ND and schedule better competition.

As if the big teams would schedule them for anything more than a single home game with no guarantee of reciprocity... if that. There's too much to lose and too little to gain for a traditional power to schedule them. And then when they can't get anybody to play them the big names shrug their shoulders and say "Oh well guess they're just not willing to play a tough schedule."

It only worked for ND because of history and even they've got one foot in the ACC now.

Garbage and rot.
NONE, I repeat NONE of the Power 5 will schedule them in any fair and equitable way (recently the Florida Reptiles "graciously" offered to schedule them to a 2 for 1 deal....yeah, ok) because they don't want to lose to them.
In addition, the polls AND the Playoff Committee consistently penalize the non-Power 5 teams simply because, with no metrics used other than perception. So the strength of schedule metric is fundamentally broken when LSU can have 3 (!) losses but still play in a New Year's Six bowl.
College Football is broken.
