NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Watching various things. I’m beginning to wonder if Sanders would even be in the first round discussion if his name was Shedeur Jones?

So Miami has given Jalen Ramsey permission to seek a trade, after resigning him in September and the secondary talent being scarce.

He didn’t request permission to seek a trade. The organization continues to be an epic train wreck.

There will always be teams who don't have QBs and are desperate for QBs. How did Daniel Jones become a first round pick? How did Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder become first round picks? And now everyone is saying Jaxson Dart is shooting up the draft list. If E.J. Manuel can go in the first round, so can Sanders.

You are right. Sanders may well go on to be a great player, but if I was a GM, I’d struggle to use a high draft pick on him.

Sanders not being graded as a first round talent?

Coaches and scouts are not seeing enough to justify an early-first-round pick on tape, Breer adds, with many not grading him as a first-round talent. Although Sanders’ accuracy has drawn praise, his penchant for taking sacks offers a negation. The two-year Buffaloes starter also has not displayed high-end arm strength on tape, and despite his father being one of the greatest players in NFL history, Shedeur is not viewed as particularly athletic. That has created concerns about a QB-needy team making him its new franchise centerpiece via a top-10 investment.

Rodgers is still saying he's undecided about his future and could still retire. Steelers should just move on. Rudolph is your starter, draft Dart to sit and learn.

I struggle with why teams still buy tickets to the Rodgers circus.

Barring any trades, every team is going into the draft with their first round pick, which would be a first in the common draft era. It almost happened in 1993 until Kansas City traded their first for Joe Montana.

Quick and dirty mock draft top 10...

1. Titans - Travis Hunter WR/CB, Colorado.
2. Giants* - Cam Ward QB, Miami.
3. Browns* - Sheduer Sanders QB, Colorado.
4. Patriots - Ashton Jeanty RB, Boise State.
5. Jaguars - Ty Warren TE, Penn State.
6. Raiders - Mason Graham DT, Michigan.
7. Jets - Kelvin Banks OT, Texas.
8. Panthers - Abdul Carter DE, Penn State.
9. Saints - Colston Loveland TE, Michigan.
10. Bears - Will Campbell OT, LSU.

I have the Browns and Giants swapping spots after Hunter is selected #1.

1st round O-linemen are always a gamble. As far as the Bears go, they need quantity as much as quality on the o-line. There have been times their entire starting 5 were injured.

If Jeanty is available at six I think the Raiders take him. If he's available at ten, I think the Bears take him. I just don't see him falling that far.

Vrabel is going to want King Henry, Part II in his offense.
