Lower Decks Final Season: What Do You Hope to See?

I want to see Species 8472, but not as an aggressor. Like, one member of the species working at starbucks or something
Well, Species 8472 already got quite harmless since they dressed as Starfleet officers in Voyager. I prefer them mysterious but not bad. Actually they've been cool, they just wanted be left alone. At the same time we learned that they are strong enough to beat the Borg. I like that. They should have been present in more than just a few episodes in VOY. But ok, show them in Lower Decks, but not make them ridicolous.

- I think Sisko, Bashir, O'Brien, Ezri, Neelix, and B'Llana are the remaining 90s Trek actors who haven't returned in anything. I'm honestly doubting we'll see any of them, and I think I'm fine with that.
If it helps, Sisko and Torres are lead characters in the "Star Trek" and "Star Trek: Defiant" comics. Yes, the actors are not involved, but you can see them again in new stories each month. Bashir and O'Brien also appear in the most recent arc of Defiant.

Agreed. I'm hoping that, if the S31 movie does well (paired down from its originally-intended series format), maybe the suits could justify the expense of doing similar one-off's for lesser-supported titles like that. Perhaps even Prodigy could benefit from a similar format.

Unfortunately I have a feeling that if CBS/Paramount had any interest whatsoever in bringing LDS back in some form, that they wouldn’t have prematurely canceled it in the first place. I don’t think that the success or failure of the Section 31 movie is going to have any influence over that decision.

Why not? More good Trek wouldn't be a bad thing.

I meant why go back to the Berman-era number of seasons? Why 7? Why not 10? or 20? Or 3, for that matter? After a certain amount of time, jumping-the-shark will set in if a show is on too long.

Seven seasons have been TV 'standard' for decades until the last one or so, at least we had something new to watch weekly on a continuous stream.
Nowadays any shows anyone likes they binge it on the weekend then wait 2-3 years for the next seasons.
Psychologically it just breaks the desire for more. Look at Squid Game or Stranger Things or even SNW.

While I am not a huge fan of Lower Decks, I will say that I would like the last episode to end with a live-action scene aboard the Cerritos where LDS is basically Mariner’s fictionalized account of her time on the ship, and the reality is nowhere near the high-jinx-filled adventures she and the other crew were shown to have. Besides Tawny and Jack Quaid, Noel Wells, Dawnn Lewis and Eugene Cordero look the most like their animated characters and could potentially be seen in live-action. But I highly doubt this scenario will happen.
