I'm going to chalk it up to them making a mistake until it's confirmed on screen.

Because that would be like a 2.5 year jump between Seasons 4 and 5.

I still don't think so; the 3 members of his species we've seen so far all have a very distinct look that doesn't closely resemble that of the confirmed Aurelians who also appear in the series.

She's Caitian, and we've seen Caitians before, several in the Federation Council in TVH, and most prominently, M'Ress in TAS. She didn't take any guff from anyone, but she had a generally decent temperament. If I had to guess, I'd say T'Ana might have some of the more warlike Kzinti in her. She has a mouth on her that would make a Chuft-Captain blush.

Don't think so either. The only thing out there I'm aware of is from the old FASA RPG. Memory Beta has a few tidbits about Cait, but yeah, it's really sparse and all non-canon.

I've been rewatching the series recently, and there are a few things I expect/hope for

- I think Tendi will only be away for an episode or two, about as long as Boimler was on the Titan. They'll want to unite the cast quickly
- Speaking of which, I expect to see William Boimler back as well, and do a whole Section 31 episode. I'm a little surprised they didn't do that already
- T'Lyn will reunite with her former Captain, who will inform her that he didn't send her to the Cerritos as punishment but so she'll flourish, which will give her closure
- I'm hoping we don't get another return of Badgey or Rutherford's past. They've used that at least once per season so far, but it seems pretty nicely wrapped up.
- Mariner and Boimler will 100% *not* be a couple, but I'm 50/50 about Tendi and Rutherford. I think I'm leaning on the side where I hope they aren't
- I'm honestly not expecting any crossover with Prodigy at all, mainly because it would be hard to do given the timelines and the locations of the main characters
- I am really hoping we'll get something with Enterprise/Trip/Archer. Connor Trinneer being in VST has given me hope.
- I'm certain they've made calls to William Shatner's agent, trying to get him on the show, but I'm unsure if he would want to.
- I think Sisko, Bashir, O'Brien, Ezri, Neelix, and B'Llana are the remaining 90s Trek actors who haven't returned in anything. I'm honestly doubting we'll see any of them, and I think I'm fine with that.
