It arrived in Australia this week. Was worried it might take ages, as USA has suspended(???) many services to Australasia this year.
New stuff for me this week: "The Ashes of Tomorrow" (Gallery Books, 2021) by James Swallow (Book II of the "Star Trek: Coda" trilogy) and #1 of "Star Trek Explorer", the revamped magazine from Titan. "Explorer" contains two fictional short stories, "All That Most Maddens and Torments" (TOS) by Christopher Cooper and "Q and False" (TNG) by Lisa Klink.

Is this a trade paperback reprint omnibus of Miasma, Absent Enemies and The Stuff of Dreams? That's interesting. S&S seems to have given up on hardcopy reprints of ebook exclusives for the English-speaking market.

Covid lockdowns have meant that USPS no longer delivers to Australia, but this book popped up on Amazon.au - and was delivered just hours after I ordered it online!
Here is "Star Trek: Designing the Final Frontier: How Midcentury Modernism Shaped Our View of the Future" by Dan Chavkin and Brian McGuire (Weldon Owen/Insight Editions, 2021), with a Foreword by Doug Drexler.

New this month: Hard to pass up a Desilu Studios "I Love Lucy" Barbie (with script accessory) on clearance. "Bloopers of the Borg" (Eaglemoss/Hero Collector, 2021) is the second "Nerd Search" book in the "Star Trek: Treksperts Search & Find" collection. Written by Glenn Dakin with art by John Ross. The "Star Trek Punch-out and Play Album" (Saalfield, 1975) is from a deceased friend's estate. I had never seen this particular item before, but the art matches others in my collection.

I was looking at copies of The World of Star Trek, on ebay last night, when I came across one in particularly nice condition. A sixth printing. On the page opposite from the copyright, I noticed what you see here. No more of it was visible than this. In the description, the seller talked about the fine condition of the book, but made no mention of any writing at all. And out of hundreds of books, this was their only Star Trek offering. For a total of $14.58, I think it's....quite a bargain. They mailed it right out today, and as soon as it arrives I will do the reveal.

What I am referring to is what is below her signature. It's kind of like a Name That Tune type of thing. I can identify that in just one partial loop.

I am doing Retailer Incentive variant covers for each issue of the Adventures in the 32nd Century!
According to the tracking, that should be arriving later today.
Meanwhile, I got this major printing error on ebay last night for $2.50. I'm surprised no one else noticed it for what it is. It makes me wonder if Pocket was having trouble with the gold foil process and that's why not many of the novels in the series had it. I am curious if there are other errors out there like this. Funny how errors like this survive to make it into circulation. Fortunately, this is in really nice condition for being 39 years old. It's from the first print run. The seller mailed it right out today and I will get some additional images posted up after it arrives, although it will take a while, because it's a long distance away. I also got a copy of The Price of The Phoenix, autographed by Grace Lee Whitney and will post images when that arrives. I bet there aren't very many of those around! It was among a lot of 22 Trek books and so cost only about $1.04. Amazing deals to be had!
