There are so many good ones, but this episode with the trail of No. One and all the issues it explores is just plain brilliant. I have not been able to get it out of my head.

Close to one of the best, but not enough for a perhaps? I consider a few of the other SNW episodes better, and several TOS episodes were better. It might be in the top ten overall though. Certainly beats out any TNG, Ent, DS9, or Voy episodes.

Yes.

It is right up there with:

1) TOS: City on the Edge of Forever, Amok Time, Mirror Mirror, Trouble with Tribbles, Menangerie, Balence of Terror, Space Seed, etc.
2) TNG: The Inner Light, Best of Both Worlds, All Good Things, Yesterday's Enterprise, Chain of Command, Darmok, Measure of A Man, etc.
3) DS9: In the Pale Moonlight, Duet, Far Beyond The Stars, Sacrifice of Angels, etc.

Well since the poll is kinda biased. I could not vote. It was an ok episode. But I would have to choose....NOPE...
I Had to look it up since I could not remember which episode was episode 2. But one of the best of any trek series?? Nope. Trek has been running almost non stop for 36 years now. There are hundreds of episodes. Some that are just so well done it's hard to beat. DS9 has some of the best if not the best. The Visitor is the one that I immediately think of. SNW 2/2 doesn't come close to the greatness of that episode...

Don't get me wrong. ...I still like the episode it's just that it's a bit forgettable...

Interesting. There are, of course, lots of wonderful episodes throughout the years, but I believe this is the best one regarding, race, human rights, prejudice, and privilege.

Yes, but it's a little of apples and oranges because the SNW seasons are so short.

I'd say that S1 and S2 combined are as good as any of the "best" 20-some-odd seasons of Star Trek that have been produced.

Season 2 of SNW generally is one of the best seasons of Star Trek, ever. Not a dud amongst them.

Worst for me was Lotus Eaters (I thought it was a tad undercooked), but even that had more than its’ share of great moments.

I agree. It is one of the best seasons out of all the Star Trek series.

It's the best of the 2016 - now era by a long shot, better than a lot of other stuff too - but I certainly wouldn't say it's the best of them all.

Ad Astra per Aspera is very good. I won't say it's better than Far Beyond the Stars, In the Pale Moonlight, or The Visitor, but it can at least be mentioned in the same sentence.

It was good (haven’t been disappointed by any SNW episodes yet), but I don’t consider it the best episode of the season, let alone the entire run of Trek. Under the Cloak of War was better (IMO, of course).

It was a fine episode, but for me, it probably falls into the middle of the Season 2, let alone all of Trek. I think Hegemony, Those Old Scientists, Under the Cloak of War, and Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow beat them out.

Even for its subject matter, I think it's a pale comparison to Measure of a Man.

Agree, it's ground Star Trek has treaded a million times before and in much more compelling ways. Measure of a Man is actually as good as everyone seems to think this is. Ultimately this doesn't deal with the real issue (a fairly basic anti discrimination message instead of the fundamental question of what life is in MoaM) and the resolution is just an implausible legal gambit that I find it hard to believe ever would have flown.
