How often do you think about Star Trek?

I was listening to a podcast recently and one of the hosts said that Star Trek was a major part of his life but he didn't necessarily think about it all of the time.
This got me to wondering how often I think about Star Trek and I'm pretty sure it's an answer I don't really want to share with too many people (especially family members and anyone working in the psychiatry field!) Because not a day goes by without me thinking about it. In fact, when I really thought about it, I don't think an hour goes by without some aspect of it crossing my mind. That might seem scary and abnormal to some people but it's true.

So how about you guys? Is it daily? Weekly? Monthly? Only when it's on? Or never?

Rarely.

I listen to several Roddenberry podcasts: Mission Log, Mission Log Live, and Prodigy. I also listen to 2 IndyCar podcast (Trackside and Marshall Pruett). I listen to these podcasts while driving, mowing, or other household chores.

I visit here daily.

I keep up with new Trek

Plenty of Trek related Facebook feeds

I'm toying with my own idea for a hard SF based space opera that had no godlike aliens, no one-off aliens of the week, a lot fewer aliens, no transporters or time travel. I think about it when going to sleep. I try to imagine or recreate or see which Trek episodes could be told in my universe.

My ringtone is the TOS communicator chirp. My text ringtone is the TOS communicator/wall panel beep beep. My push notification sound is Voyager hail. My weekly alarm reminder about setting out the trash is Picard asking if Ardra picked up trash. My wake up alarm is TWOK theme.

My lock screen is the UFP logo from Franz Joseph. My phone wallpaper is an LCARS inspired graphic. My tablet wallpaper is a different LCARS inspired collage.

In this post Covid-19 world I give the Vulcan salute to people who choose to not shake hands.

Like I said, I rarely think about Trek. 🤣

I think about Trek whenever I see someone posting about it, or reacting to on YouTube, or tweeting about it. So pretty often actually. I even watch it sometimes.

Not much anymore. I used to think about TNG (and maybe TOS and ENT) all the time. But since they haven't really put out anything new that I find interesting (except for SNW, but I'm waiting for the complete show to be released on DVD one day before I buy it and watch it)... I think about it less and less. And that's good IMO. Sometimes you just have to let something go.

From time to time. Every time I come here obviously. Star Trek is good. It's healthy subject matter to dwell upon.

There where years without star trek, especially between 2006 and 2016 for me, with some weeks during this period where new movies came out.
Now, with my kid, even if there is no new season for any new series we do a rewatch for all old series, starting with tng. Right now where in season 6 on ds9.
So: now its nearly daily. But it was monthly, years ago.
