First Episode You Saw For Each Show In Order You Saw Them.

I saw TOS first when I was Tivoing multiple star trek shows as a kid. The first TOS I saw was Enemy Within.

TNG was the same day and immediately fell in love with it. Sins of the Father was an incredible episode to start with, and season 3 in general is such a good introduction.

DS9 was never on Tv for me, so the first I saw was The Emissary when i binged it on netflix.

Voyager was the same, Caretaker was my first and it did not grab me at all.

I'm not sure but I think my first Enterprise episode was Regeneration or the mirror universe 2 parter.

First Discovery episode was the opening 2 parter.

First Picard episode was the beginning of season 3. I avoided the show because it looked like badly written water treading and pointless until season 3.

Strange New Worlds, the first episode. Felt closer to the tone of berman era than picard season 3 was.

My first TNG I think was Relics. At the time I was seven or eight, no one in my house was watching Star Trek, though my parents who had watched TOS in their younger days wanted to watch "the return of Scotty" so I tagged along. It wouldn't be until several when I became a regular viewer, watching Descent Part 1 when it first aired, then tuning into syndicated reruns, which I think were in the second season at the time, though I don't remember specifically where in the season. Early to middle, I think.

Then eventually I began checking out DS9 over the course of the summer of 93. I actually do remember for some reason the first episode I watched was the episode Dax.

TOS I began watching through borrowing the VHS releases of the episodes at the library. The first one I saw was The Squire of Gothos.

From there on, all the other shows I began with their series premieres as they first began airing.

Except for TOS, I think I can guarantee it was the first episode of every subsequent new show up until this point.

TOS was way before my time, but I'm sure TWOK was my first movie. I feel like The Devil in the Dark couldve been the first TOS episode I saw repeated.

I honestly don't remember which TOS or TAS episode was the first I saw, but I know for a fact that from TNG onward I watched the premiere of every series on the same night it was originally broadcast.

What did you think of each show as they premiered? Did you dislike TNG season 1 like a lot of people do nowadays?

I was too young to remember the first TOS or TAS. I did watch TOS in reruns before age 4, sitting in my house not far from Paramount Studios.

All the others I watched the night it premieres, save Prodigy.

I really enjoyed each pilot as when they first aired. I think the best one was actually VOY, "CARETAKER"... it did have the an advantage the others really didn't in that the Maquis were built up by the back end of DS9 season 2 and TNG season 7 so VOY didn't need to spend any time informing the audience of who part of the crew was going to be. This allowed the pilot to focus entirely on the story.

If the Temporal Cold War was not baked into the pilot, I actually would have said "BROKEN BOW" was the best pilot. (If there was ONE thing I'd eliminate from the franchise, it would be that damned Temporal Cold War.)

DS9's pilot, "EMISSARY", is right up there with VOY, mainly because the characters and world felt so alive and real from the jump. An amazing accomplishment in itself.

TNG's... I still think it's a good story, and it will always have a special place in my heart because it's why I became a scifi fan. (Particularly because of Data.) Do I dislike TNG season 1? Absolutely not. I find it gets more hate than it deserves. Is it's TNG's best season? No, and it is on the lower end of seasons of TNG for me. (Season 7 is the worst one, in my view.) But I still love it.

The current era of shows (DISCO, PICARD, PRODIGY, LDS, and SNW)... all their pilot episodes were good. Except DISCO's... it was decent. One of the problems was it didn't have most of the cast or, more importantly, the ship the series is supposed to be set on.

TOS --> A rerun my mother probably watched in the early-'80s that I would've been too young to remember. But that doesn't count. So, instead I'll say "The Cage" in 1991. That's the year I became a fan, I'd seen all the TOS Movies (except for TUC, which wasn't coming out until December). I bought (or rather my mother bought for me) a 25th Anniversary Special published by Starlog. That's when I found out about "The Cage". The fact that it was rejected made me want to see it. So, we bought it on VHS at the store. It was the version where Gene Roddenberry did the introduction, and then the episode was a mix of color and black-and-white. In the summer of 1992, the station that was airing TNG reruns showed TOS reruns for the summer, so then I got to see TOS Proper. If you want to go by that, then "Where No Man Has Gone Before". They showed TOS in production order, not broadcast order.

TNG --> Part of what I now know to be "We'll Always Have Paris" in 1988, before I changed the channel. Later on, after becoming a Star Trek fan, I rented "Encounter at Farpoint" on VHS in 1991. It scared me off. I didn't look at TNG again until "Unification" because I read in TV Guide that Spock was appearing. I watched the rest of the series from that point on, and caught up with everything I missed through reruns in strip-syndication. By spring of '92, I want to say, I was all caught up.

DS9 and the rest --> The first episodes. Not much of a story.

TOS, I came into the middle of my mom watching a “Shore Leave” rerun sometime in the early 70s. Every other series, I saw the first episode in first run (on opening day, for the later streamers).

I believe "A Taste of Armageddon" was the first TOS episode I saw. It was in the mid-70's. The rest I saw when each show's pilot premiered.

And the “So I was watching this really old movie, The Empire Strikes Back…” Award goes to…
It’s just that that I started watching trek over 20 years ago and so I don’t remember which ones I saw first.

No no, of course. I was just laughing about being old; to me, TNG and onwards *were* the new shows. (Same way that to me and my generation, TESB doesn’t feel that long ago…)

If my memory is correct, my first full ep of TOS was By Any Other Name.
My first TOS movie was possibly The Search For Spock.
Encounter at Farpoint was my first TNG, even though I'd not seen much beyond that yet. It seemed like a big deal at the time, a brand new Trek show starting now?
By the time DS9 rolled around I was already a full Trekkie so it was first eps all the way.

My first full episode of all Trek was TNG Conspiracy, censored version :D
TOS, no clue which
DS9-rest, the pilots
