DS9 Reviews From the Beginning

I just wanted to let my fellow DS9 fans know that over at my television review site Cultural Wormhole, I'm reviewing DS9 (as well as Buffy) episode by episode. The first look at "Emissary" is up at the site. It's a pretty long post, but then again, it was a double-sized opener.

Pretty good review. Very informative but a bit dry to read as well. Don't be afraid to inject controversial personal opinions in these things, as that tends to be what folks hit up blogs for anyway. :techman:

Edit:
I just noticed that you have actually already watched DS9 in its entirety, and that you're approaching this reviewing project more as a first-run viewing experience (no spoilers). All well and good, but keep in mind there are a few places that already have that (Jammer's, f'instance), so you may want to think of a sort of angle or hook to make your reviewing unique. It'll entice potential readers more.

I agree it needs another angle. Why did you choose to review this series rather than a new series?

I'll begin reviews of 'True Blood' and 'Mad Men' once those seasons begin later this summer. I thought it would be fun to take a look at a couple shows (one I've seen all the way through and one that I haven't) from the beginning. I see DS9 as a bit of a (not 'the' but 'a') forerunner of a lot of the critically acclaimed sci-fi in recents years and I wanted to track Joss Whedon's development as a writer and showrunner on Buffy.

I haven't written about television that much, so there will be some bumps along the way. I've written comic reviews for almost four years over at The Comic Addiction, and my voice is a lot more loose there. Even though the subject matter is slightly different, I need to retain my 'voice'. Thanks for the insight, gang.
