Dominion Wars on Win7?

I'm not the most adventures of all people when it comes to trying out new things with my laptop, so I was wondering....

Should Star Trek Dominion Wars work on Windows 7, or do I need something to run it?

Found the game in my basement, German packaging. I'm from the Netherlands, btw. I never bothered to install it back then, but I figured I'd give it a shot, see of it's worth it.

I have now merged the old "How does Dominion wars work in Win 7" into the generic "win 7 problems" sticky.
