After binging discovery and following that with all 3 Kelvin movies, I think they really complement each other in good ways and bad ways. Anyone else feel a crossover between these 2 universes could work really well? How would it play out?
1) You mean they're separate universes now?a crossover between these 2 universes
Not if you actually pay attention to the story. They're the same universe as far as I can tell.
Well yes. If you pay attention to the story, but don't pay attention to what is said off-screen.Not if you actually pay attention to the story.
What was said off-screen that makes Disco and Kelvin the same universe?Well yes. If you pay attention to the story, but don't pay attention to what is said off-screen.
True, but it doesn't make them the same universe. Both the Abrams-universe and the DIS-universe are more technologically advanced than the TOS-universe.

Sure they can.Agreed! If for no other reason than the similarity between Kelvin Klingons and Discovery Klingons! The DSC universe and the Kelvin one are too dissimilar to TOS to be believed technology and story wise! They can't be the same reality!

Indeed. This much is very much true to me. There is so much Trek tech that has been left behind and I think it would be fun to explore broader implications of current technological innovations, rather than belaboring how overused the transporter is in Star Trek.Trek needs updating.
Actually, they should have...There should have proper phasers at this time.
