Captain Marvel (2019)

(I can see that you're not serious.)

Roots dude!

Dye jobs look good for a finite amount of "days".

She's not allowed to do it herself.

The Studio/Producers have to yell a lot about her hair, and then force the girl to submit.

SUBMIT!

They shouldn't worry about it being similar to Green Lantern. It's not like people care enough about his movie to compare anyways.

Hum, I'm a bit worried by this. Carol as an airforce pilot is more important to her character then the similar stuff is to Hal (although Hal is usually just a test pilot, not a military one). Take away the career in the military and the flying stuff, she's not really Carol Danvers.

Now, if they just mean they're changing how she gets her powers, and not so much her pre-superhero history, that's fine. I figured that Mar-Vell wasn't going to be involved with the origin of the MCU Carol Danvers, and its not a huge loss (although I'd like to see him show up somewhere, or see one of his kids like Genis or Phyla in GotG).

  1. Power = Guardians of the Galaxy.
  2. Mind = Avengers 1.
  3. Time = Not seen.
  4. Reality = Thor II.
  5. Space = Avengers 1.
  6. Soul = Not seen.
Hmmm.

If her powers are based on the soul stone, it's going to end up like that excess baggage brat from Captain Planet.

I've never thought Carol's origin was all that similar to Green Lantern's. If you want to see an origin that rips off Green Lantern, go look at Nova.

I hope Marvel does put out a Nova movie some time in the not-too-distant future. Scheduling one for 2020 when Green Lantern Corps is supposed to come out would be hilariously awesome.

Richard Rider though, please. No Sam Alexander.

They could just do the origin from "Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes" which took all of 22 minutes.

Isn't her origin that she was caught in an explosion and caught the Kree cooties?
Honestly, the parallels to Green Lantern are probably the best parts of her origin.

Her origin is she was kidnapped to be a damsel in distress for Mar-Vell to rescue. Mar-Vell does rescue her and there's an explosion that seemingly kills the badguy. Months later, she realizes she has powers.
