Another X-Files Movie

The biggest problem with X-Files 2 was that it separated Mulder and Scully on their own far too often. That, and the story itself was, essentially, of the "monster-of-the-week" variety. Return Mulder and Scully to a true partnership and offer a tale that really delves into the mythology of the series and X-Files 3 will be a hit.

What the hell were they thinking? an hour and 40 minutes movie and in 2/3 of it they are APART?????????

They need the resolution to the invasion story.


I'd happily settle for a two-part 4 hour TV movie.

I wouldn't mind an X-Files 3 if they followed the mythos and made it about the Alien invasion.

If it's another TV Movie type film though then best leave it alone.

There's quite a bit of backstory to the alien invasion. I suppose that Chris Carter's script could bring everyone up to speed in less than 30 minutes of screen time.

I voted yes because I liked the last movie. I enjoy character-driven scripts sometimes, and the not-quite-happily-ever-after tone of Mulder and Scully's relationship really worked for me.

Maybe the aliens aren't really coming to invade in 2012 -- they're just coming to Earth en masse to gate-crash the Olympics in London. It can be a crossover between X-Files and Torchwood.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'd love to see a third feature. It would be nice to see more of the characters from the series return and to have the 2012 mythology wrapped up once and for all.

The second one? Ugh.

Just. Ugh. It's a movie that made me so depressed I wanted to kill myself. Very, very, very bleak. Not that the series was always the most cheerful, but ugh.

And the "X-File" connection in the second movie is a weak one.

As long as the next movie has more of a up-beatness to it, a story that matters and a bit of energy then I'll see it.

But the second one, God, it was so slow and bleak it almost made fall asleep.
