Funny thing is that I'd be fine if they don't, since there's an in-built justification for a change; what we're seeing after all is an official Imperial propaganda broadcast. Do we seriously think COMPNOR is in the habit of releasing raw, unaltered footage?

Now the speech she gives at the end of that episode on the other hand; that is a little harder to justify altering too much. But then I'd honestly be a little surprised if they end up showing that. Most likely we'll just see her fleeing the capital though whatever exciting hijinks, and safely delivered to that ship she's on when the Ghost picks her up. Odds are the next we see her after that, she'll likely already be on Dantooine or Yavin 4.

No, we 100% do not. I don't dislike Rebels. I actually mostly like it fine.

But the writing on Andor is about 500x better, so, no, they don't need to be taking their cues from an 11-year-old cartoon.

The Tie Avenger lookalike appears to have both rotary/gatling lasers and the normal under cockpit lasers. the gatling ones are what we see firing earlier based on the spacing and the speed they're firing

Technically it's just under 8 years old at this point, at least the relevant bit. But no one minds when they take their cues from an over 47 year old movie.

Totally looked like Bix to me. I'm not at all invested in Cassian's sister, but I agree, since it kicked off the entire series/storyline, it would be weird to just totally drop it.
I'm not that invested in his sister as a character, it's just that his search for her was a big part of the first one or two episodes and it's a pretty big hanging story thread that I'd like to see tied off somehow, even if it's just him finding a report that she's dead or off living on some random planet.

The whole point of that plot thread was that it was a futile effort. She died when the Republic showed up, and had Marva not kidnapped him, he'd have been killed too. There'd be no record of it, because nobody is going to write out a detailed report about how they murdered a bunch of feral kids they mistook for pirates, and even if they did, it's not like they'd have any way to name any of them.

Maarva told him to give it up, and I always interpreted his joining Luthen as Cassian finally giving up that quest and finding a new purpose.

Because the movie is better than Rebels and it is actually the first thing in the entire franchise, the ne plus ultra of all Star Wars, the origin point, the foundation, the thing that from which everything else was birthed. Not just the 15th random, kid-targeted spinoff.

Do you seriously not understand the distinction?

Canon is canon, it doesn't matter the source.

Oh, OK I didn't pick up on that.

I don't think anyone posted this yet

I never noticed that before, but K-2SO is the only KX series droid with yellow markings. The others in Rogue One and Andor S1 have red markings. Jedi series video games as well use red markings.

So the one we see in the Andor Season 2 trailer is probably K-2SO since he has yellow markings. Plus the eyes are pretty emotive.

The paint scratches also match Rogue One.
