Ryan Seacrest doesn't look like Ryan Seacrest this season. Seriously. Has he been taken over by a slightly inaccurate clone?
I watched the woman and results show last week and it really hit me what I really have a problem with on this show. Paula Abdul is still there. Seriously, she has a major problem and it's just not good TV. The singers still sounded good. Also, just watching a half hour of Randy Jackson saying "Dawg" was annoying enough.
This week, most of the guys really stunk with their 70's music. It only started to get good after the sixth performer. I loved David A's performance(the last guy of the evening). It was perfection! His voice is awesome. 
I'm going with the three Davids right now. They all shine. But the rest of them just stunk. We'll see how the girls fare out tonight. I might have to DVR it though since I have somewhere else to be this evening.

Yeah..Randy gets under my skin with his "dawg" calling all the time. Did you notice Simon's hand on his face last night by any chance? What was up with that?! He had his thumb on the side of his face with his hand spread wide like he was making a gang sign or saying loser to everyone..

I didn't even realize there was a Thursday episode of AI. Obviously, Colton and Garrett got eliminated last week.
Simon was definitely right on about the fellow who did a "drunken karaoke performance." All that dancing was just annoying. And Simon was also right about the other David (not Archuleta), who doesn't really have much charisma. He looks like a hobo, too, with the oily hair and unshaved looks.

Did you see the girls' competition last night? I don't blame Ryan Seacrest at all for not acknowledging Simon, who's a total ass. The last performer was Asia'h Epperson. As usual, Simon had something negative to say about the performance, to which Ryan replied, "Well, if she had chosen a different song, you'd still criticize her for not doing enough," or something to that end, which is true. Then the asshole Simon said, "Well, you've got to know your limitations, which is something you've done for your [Ryan's] career." I thought it was totally rude and uncalled-for. Constructive criticism is fine, but there's no excuse for Simon's blatant rudeness and toxic personality.
They are just playing with each other, they do it every season.
Well, this is interesting. I just got word that contestant David Hernandez was a former stripper, not that it makes a huge impact on his standing. It's just that he doesn't strike me as that type. He's too skinny, and, well, too average-looking ...

Yeah the gay stripper story broke last night. I don't care, Danny will most likely flirt with him more now, but still he can sing so I don't care. David H would make a good looking drag queen. Don't even ask me why.
However they have kicked off other people fr stupid things like topless photos and such, now that is just lame. And it's a double standard that David H can stay and topless woman couldn't.

I'm not too into American Idol before this season, but I have to agree with Simon. Why oh why do these contestants pick Mariah, Whitney, or Celine Dion songs? There's two outcomes when you do their songs. 1. You blow them out of the water, in which case why are you even bothering with American Idol in the first place, or 2. You don't match them, in which case your performance will be at best passable. There are so many artists you can choose and at least do equal versions of their songs, in this (80's) or in any category. Whats to gain?

Somehow, I always miss the first hour or catch the tail end of the show, so I don't really get to see the early performances. I have to agree with you ... what's with the Celine Dion and Whitney Houston songs? I mean these are guys, for Christ's sake. Did Chikezie really sing, "You're the man that I'll ever need"?
Well, at least in D. Hernandez's case, "It's all coming back to me now" is kind of a unisex song. Plus, he's gay, so it works.BTW, I totally take back what I said earlier about D. Hernandez. He's not skinny or average-looking. He's not so bad after all.
Well ... we're down to the Final 12 starting this week. Kady Malloy, Asia'h Epperson, Luke Menard, and Danny Noriega were eliminated last week (the two guys were obvious choices). I'm rooting for Jason Castro and David Archuleta. The girls have some pretty good performers, too.
Chikezie singing 'She’s a Woman' was great. Loved the arrangement and the way he got into it.
With my imaginary girlfriend Kady gone, the show's just not that interesting. Though, watching that kid fuck up the entire song at the end was pretty great. How do you go from pretty amazing to hard suck like that? is he trying to lose?
