Airwolf

I love this show. Any idea if it's been looked at for a "revival" what with hollywood's apparent desire to remake everything now.

Yes! Bring back Archangel! That mysterious man in the nice white threads, and his bevvy of lady assistants, also all in white, and his white limo, white phone, white plane, white polo pony ! A class act all the way, Mr Alex Cord.

Maybe they can take all the revivals of 80s shows and just combine them... have MacGyver, Magnum, Michael Knight, Stringfellow Hawk, T.J. Hooker, Crockett and Tubbs, Remington Steele, Hart to Hart, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Matlock, Simon and Simon, and the A-Team form their own justice league.

Only if Smurfs are involved!

I used to love Airwolf when I was younger, but when I've tried to watch episodes more recently I find it kinda dull with two exceptions...

1. The titles/music are and always will be super cool.
2. The dogfight at the end of the episode.

In fact there should just be titles...then a dogfight...then titles again.

Jan Michael Vincent wasn't a great lead but Borgnine was great, as was Alex Cord.

Blasphemy! How dare you sir, how dare you! Stringfellow Hawk was the man! Super cool, laid back, and if you messed with him, he'll show up an hour later and blow your car away!

I loved Airwolf!

I am all for this. Bring back Airwolf. REAL Airwolf. Not the crappified Canadian Studio version. Many MANY good things come from Canada but Airwolf The Next Generation was not one of them. :D

As soon as I saw the thread title, the theme music popped into my head. Now that's a sign of lasting appeal. :techman:

I love Airwolf. It (and Knight Rider) were my favorite shows as a kid. I watched a few episodes on Hulu.com recently and it's still pretty cool.

So they team up to fight the Smurfs?

Would they (the Smurfs) be a recurring nemesis? If so count me in.

yeah but it as the booze n drugs being consumed by JMV that played a major role in the shows demise - he was simply too unreliable.

It could be brought back without being a BW/KR disaster after all Donald Bellisario does have free time after being dumped from being the NCIS showrunner.

I think a reboot of Airwolf would have a better shot of success on network TV over Bionic Woman or Knight Rider since it wouldn't heavily dip into sci-fi as much as the other two. Just make the helo have the combat capacity of an Apache disguised as a civilian executive helicopter. No super computers, no supersonic travel, and no pop-out guns like Andrew Probert tried to tell the original show runners not to do when he designed the bird.

The capabilities of a Comanche would be better ! ;)
