A few pics of the Target exclusive Enterprise DVD case.

The Target Blu-Ray/Enterprise model comes in a cardboard box which is DVD-sized. I removed the model, put the discs in two standard DVD cases and put the cases in the cardboard box. Voila! The DVD set fits on my shelf and I still get to display the model.

OMG. All this obsession over a freakin' disk-holder! When will you peeps get a LIFE??

*goes to play with his OS hand phaser*

The ship/case has better detailing and is more true to the movie than the larger playmates toy!

Re: A few pics of the Target exclosive Enterprise DVD case.

I got the same one at Best Buy. My only disappointment was that there wasn't a regular box inside the package. :(

A) How did you get it a Best Buy when this is a Target exclusive?

B) Why would you expect a seperate case when the model itself is the case?
A) There is a world outside the United States.

B) I thought the model was an extra piece, sort of a bonus, and that the regular Blu-Ray packaging would also be in the box too. I was hoping to be able to store it next to all my other Blu-Rays and DVDs.

Target = Best Buy... they are one and the same company. Just as Sears owns Kmart and WalMart owns Sam's Club. Remember the old Pace Warehouse? It was owned by Kmart.

No, they aren't. They both are based in Minneapolis, but that's the only connection.

^You should do your homework and dig a little deeper.

Why don't you point me in the right direction then, since I can't find any connection after a cursory look at Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Target_Corporation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_Buy

Target's 10-K with the SEC: http://xbrl.us/taxonomies/us-gaapSamples/Pages/TargetCorp.aspx (again nothing related to Best Buy).

Best Buy's 10-K with the SEC: http://xbrl.us/taxonomies/us-gaapSamples/Pages/BestBuy.aspx (nothing related to Target).

One thing I was wrong about. They aren't both based in Minneapolis; just both in Minnesota.

I was just at Target, and there were plenty of the Enterprise blu-ray sets. I would have bought one, except I bought the Best Buy set yesterday...

I suggest those who purchased or saw the item at Best Buy sue Target for false advertising and see how far they get. This is a violation of federal advertising law, right? Meanwhile I shall sit back, relax and quietly chuckle.

Yeah...sounds complicated; all I can say is when I saw the Enterprise set I wish I had bought it yesterday. Wait, no I didn't. Yes, I did...

Target is in Minneapolis. Best Buy is just outside Minneapolis (Edina? Richfield? somewhere near Bloomington). For what it's worth, the founder of Target was the guy who owned the (now defunct) Dayton's department stores in the Twin Cities and upper midwest.
Target bought the naming rights to the Twins' new stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

As has been mentioned in posts upstream, Best Buy has a BD gift set that comes with four badges. I didn't see any Enterprise model sets like Target's in the Best Buy I was in.

Regarding the badges, I'd just add that after looking them over, I suggest a person be very careful about what package he or she picks up. Some of those badges were pretty scratched up.

I got one! I ran into Target before work yesterday. I didn't realize it couldn't be disassembled once you put it together so I put it together during my break, thinking I'd take it apart and put it back in the box when I went to catch the bus home... Nope... I had to carry it.

Yeah, that's why I've yet to put mine together.

I also haven't opened the Amazon.com exclusive Enterprise yet because the box is sealed in plastic and for some reason I can't bring myself to open it.
