The season is officially underway. The Lakers have already won, the Heat have already lost. So far, so good.

The Warriors have a home opener tonight, a chance to show off the new look, new court, and new coach. Only problem is it's going up against the Giants Game 1 and the Sharks are also playing. Talk about an unlucky draw.

Just like the Leafs, the Raptors will struggle to make the playoffs.

But basketball is no hockey in my books, so it'll be a once in a while thing for me.

I still don't have confidence in Jay Triano as a coach or Bryan Colangelo as a GM. The latter was supposed to be some kind of super genius, but we Toronto fans haven't seen any evidence of it yet.

They played the Heat. I'm expecting them to suck, but I'll at least wait for a fair competition before I determine that.

Well -- the Lakers have a bench this season which doesn't mean much in the playoffs, but does in the regular season, which determines home court, which means quite a bit in the playoffs.

Looking forward to a long and serious run at another 3-Peat.

Another nice outing by the Lakers last night. Solid numbers all around. Pau Gasol has quickly become one of my favorites. I love the way he plays the game.
