Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Disney+)

Dayum! The finale is pretty amazing.
Sooo many moving parts to the story. it actually came full circle and set up a million things for the future seasons.

The Watcher in a blink and you'll miss it scene!

The Nico question has been answered (and more have been raised).

Definitely an original twist on Spder-Man's origin. Talk about bootstraps.

Several references to MCU events like the Chitauri invasion, Sokovia Accords...

Is it season 2, yet?

Episode 9 had fantastic choreography and camera work in the Spidey/Scorpion/Tombstone fight. It made great use of the freedom of camera movement in 3D without overdoing it to the point of self-indulgence, rather, using it appropriately to complement the action moves. Really fantastic storyboarding/composition. And the character work didn't go where I expected either. Tombstone stopping Spidey from crossing the line? (I kind of expected that after he stopped Spidey, Tombstone would kill Scorpion himself, in one of those "You're not a killer, so I'll do it instead" moments.)

The finale was an interesting twist on things, but I found it a bit underwhelming, so wrapped up in clever plot mechanics and payoffs that it kind of lacked for substance. When Peter was talking to Norman in the aftermath of the disaster caused by Norman's recklessness, I wanted him to say, "Mr. Osborn, you were wrong -- what comes with great power isn't great respect, but great responsibility." It was also very contrived that Spidey insisted on pulling down the portal by force, allowing a bit of symbiote to slip through, rather than just turning off the power source and destroying the inactive portal at his leisure.

Finesse is a character I'm unfamiliar with. She doesn't appear to have any connection to Daredevil in the comics, as far as the Marvel wiki indicates.

Spotted some comics artist Easter Eggs

Daredevil has a Wally Wood look to his facial design

Captain America on the picture of Cap and Iron Man looks influenced by John Byrne

When Iron Man meets Norman, he has a touch of Gene Colan to his facemask.

I really enjoyed this season, its animation style, and its unique portrayal and reimagining of Peter's early days as Spider-Man. Younger me would've hated the idea of Peter being mentored by Norman Osborn but this show makes it work in an engaging manner that's a fun contrast to Peter's relationship with Tony Stark in the MCU. Also helps that Colman Domingo is slaying the role. I fell rather behind in viewing with everyone else due to dealing with the flu and then pneumonia, so I'm sorry I missed out on the episode-to-episode discussions here (as much one could have with its weird, irregular release schedule).

One downside for me was watching this season at the same time as the final episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and trying not to feel bitter about its cancellation while this show is soaring (with two more seasons coming). I know it's not fair to hold that show's premature demise against this show, especially since they are wildly different beyond the core premise of young heroes finding their place in their world with their biological and found families. But it still reverberated within me while watching this season.

The Bootstrap Spider is still unaccounted for, I believe?
Yup, I kept expecting it to return at some point during the season, but it appears to be a deliberate dangling thread (sorry not sorry).

First look at Gwen Stacy in ‘YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN’ Season 2.
Well, if this Gwen already has powers, at least it means she probably won't be taking any fatal falls.

I finished watching this this weekend. I was really happy with how this ended, it gave us some nice twists on the usual Spider-Man story.
The whole time travel twist with Strange and the Klyntar was a surprise, I had just assumed they were from an alternate universe, it never occurred to me they were from the future. I think it's a pretty safe assumption that bit that was left behind when the portal closed is a set up for Venom. I'm assuming it was purposefully similar to No Way Home. I'm curious to see if or how they introduce Eddie Brock since Peter isn't working at The Daily Bugle yet.
I was expecting to get a bit more set up for Osborne becoming Green Goblin or at least him being more blatantly evil.
The new set up with WEB should be an interesting addition to Season 2.
And we also got the start of Lonnie having the usual pale skin most versions of his character have.
