Your favorite character from each series.

DS9

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
I'm a fairly new member and I am not sure if this has been done before but I was just wondering what your favorite character is from each series and WHY. This I think can be interesting and there might be some trends. It may also be cool to see if some people like characters that aren't as popular. Mine are as follows:

TOS: Spock

To me, Spock is not only the image of TOS but that of all of Trek. He was from the great first series, and to most people that I know that don't know anything about Trek the character most people consistently think of is Spock or Kirk. Nimoy's acting is incredible and his portrayal of Vulcans set the stage for everyone thereafter. The character of Spock is also very believable

TNG: Worf

In trying to make this post as professional as possible I just can't help but use the word "badass" and that is exactly what Worf is. Having him be the security officer is perfect for him. The fact that Michael Dorn made up the character's personality is amazing to me. The episodes that revolve around him are cool as well. One thing I really like about Worf in TNG is the episodes with his son Alexander. That was ingenius in my opinion because it showed that even a big, bad, tough Klingon had a soft side too that made him just like everybody else.

DS9:Quark

Ok, Worf is my favorite character to "come out" of TNG eventhough he is in DS9 but Quark debuted in DS9. To me Spock, Picard and Quark are the three most believable characters in all of Star Trek. Armin Shimerman did a beautiful job with the character. You really think that you are watching a real con man for a lack of a better term. One thing that I always liked about Quark was that eventhough he was kind of a !?%hole and was mischeivous, he really had a good heart.

Voyager: Neelix

Neelix to me is naturally funny and that is why I love him. I found myself many an episode laughing out loud because of things that he says or does. To me, he is the funniest character in all of Star Trek. He could be very funny but at the same time he could be very serious.

Enterprise: Phlox.

Another great actor in John Billingsley playing the doctor from this show. I think he is the best actor on the show. To me, Phlox is like a real doctor and that is what I like so much about him.

My favorite character of all time: Worf

Hands down the klingon is my favorite character. He was the first character I really loved and hey, I was even him for halloween one year! He is tough, personable, oh and honorable! His background is interesting and like I said before, he is a badass!

Although I never watched TOS...if I did, Spock would be my favorite and also Kirk. They are my favorite from the first 6 movies as well.

TNG: William T Riker...he was my first favorite from the start. Data is my 2nd favorite.

DS9: Jadzia Dax - She was my favorite right away. She was a great character...it was sad that she was gone due to the actress wanting to do other projects (or was it taking a break from acting?)

VOY: Tough one...Tom Paris. Torres comes 2nd, Tuvok 3rd.

Star Trek - James Kirk
The Next Generation - Will Riker (pre-Best of Both Worlds)
Deep Space Nine - Jadzia Dax
Voyager - Inanimate Carbon Rod
Enterprise - T'Pol

TOS - Leonard McCoy
TNG - Beverly Crusher
DS9 - Kira Nerys
VOY - Tuvok
ENT - no idea. Haven't watched it enough to know the characters, I've only seen one or two episodes.

TOS - The big three ARE Star Trek to me, so it's hard to decide. I think I will go with Kirk though.

TNG- Picard

DS9 - O'Brien or Quark

VOY - ugh.....maybe Paris

ENT - Trip

Enterprise: Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker III.
He appointed himself morale officer and set up movie night.
He was a smart engineer.
He looked out for the crew.
Case in point: In Horizon, he tells Archer that Travis' dad had died. Archer pays a condolence visit to Mayweather. When Travis gets ready to board the Horizon, Trip gives him a photo album so he could show his family what he had been up to in the last couple of years).
He befriended T'Pol in Breaking the Ice.
He befriended Malcolm in Shuttlepod One.
He was kind to the Cogenitor.
And he made me laugh.

Star Trek: Spock.
Need I say more?

The Next Generation: Barclay
It was so refreshing to see an ordinary, albeit brilliant, human being as opposed to the androids that made up the main cast of characters.

Deep Space Nine: Garak:
Need I say more?

Voyager: The Doctor
I think he had the most growth as a character. I like that he worked to become more than just a computer program. I also really enjoyed his relationship with Seven.

TOS: McCoy
TNG: Picard
DS9: Garak
VOY: Dr Kenneth H. Shmully
ENT: Phlox

Garak wins overall.

Hmm, it appears I have a thing for doctors and guys that have a thing for doctors. :vulcan:

TOS: McCoy. Because he's the Real McCoy. I love his crotchety attitude and quarreling with that green-blooded computer.
TNG: Picard. The very model of a modern starship captain. A diplomat and a scholar.
DS9: Jadzia. Hard to say why, but there's a constant aura of humor and intelligence she projects. Also points to Dukat, simply because of his delightful arrogance and magnificent voice.
VOY: The Doctor. But points to Janeway as well.
ENT: Archer. He has an idealism and quiet strength that really serves as the glue for the series.

My favorite character of all time? Leonard McCoy.

This should really be a poll, but as community service as of now the most popular as of now are:

TOS- 1. Spock 2. Kirk
TNG- 1. Picard 2. Data
DS9- 1. Jadzia 2. O'Brien
VOY- 1. The Doctor 2. Tie (Tuvok, Paris)
ENT- 1. Trip 2. Tie (Archer, T'Pol)

TOS: Spock or McCoy
TNG: Beverly Crusher
DS9: 1. Kira Nerys 2. Garak
VOY: 1. Janeway 2. Tie (B'Elanna and Seven)
ENT: Didn't see much of it, but I liked Trip.
