Saving Book. I am not always happy with the direction they took with the character, but it was great to see a Captain's man without making it look icky (I'm looking at you Janeway). Moreover, the actor exuded charm.

Saving Picard's Elnor. Most boyishly charming body guard I've ever seen.

Elnor would have been my next save. The character was given short shrift, especially in the second season, but in his few scenes, he always came off as heroic, even if naive. My son loved this character.

I'll just finish off LDS by saving Jack Ransom. Despite appearing to be a toadying, pretty-boy, meathead at first glance, Ransom was a great first officer. He knows his crew and what they're capable of, isn't afraid to go against regs to protect someone (even it means stabbing them in the foot), gives good speech, and he has great hair. And lava tubes!

He started out as a bit of a cliche -- the brash young man with something to prove -- but Robbie McNeill transcended that, imbuing him with warmth and charm. It doesn't hurt that he was one of the few VOY characters who was treated to a bit of character development, and his friendship with Harry Kim is one of the better Trek bromances.
