'X-Files' gets XXX rated

An X-Files porno? Couldn't they just get Duchovny back to reprise his role? He had no qualms about doing The Red Shoe Diaries, and though I enjoy Californication, it's not far removed from the soft-core skinimax genre, either.

Also, it would be a nice nod to the running gag on "The X-Files" of Mulder being a porn enthusiast with a killer collection.

^"First Person Shooter" is terrible. Every video games cliche you can possibly imagine crammed in to one episode.

Other than Krista Allen , i don't think you'll miss anything skipping First Person Shooter

It's a great running gag though. I just watched The Unnatural tonight, and the line with Mulder complaining about his obscenely large XXX bill made me think of this thread.

Yeah, it was even in mainstream news when he went into treatment for it. Last year as a matter of fact:

Duchovny's announcement on Thursday that he was voluntarily going into rehab for sex addiction after years of denying he had a problem, threw a spotlight on a disorder that few celebrities, and even fewer ordinary men and women, admit to.

That was a running gag on the part of the producers/writers of the x-files because Duchovny was doing the intro/outs for Red Shoes

I never realised that iether. I figured all the Red Shoe stuff was done before X-Files, or only a couple of years overlap.
