why Adult Swim? WHY?!

are Tim and Eric Ted Turner's Nephews or something?, this show gets constantly the worst rateings on AS and there are rumors of a hit being ordered on them, and still they run this crap, atleast 12oz. mouse is animated, even if it IS with crayon and the whole season was written in an afternoon crack binge

oh, and BTW, the last few weeks AS has put out the rateings and shin chan and code geass have been the top for weeks, yet they complain about no one watching anime and useing it as an excuse to do crap like this

They just hate anime. They diss anime fans in bumps and are always retooling the schedule to force more anime out of it. Even though it was like, the foundation upon which AS was first built. Damn kids, don't even respect their heritage! *shakes cane*

this may be my only other option now even though i hate watching tv/movies on computer screens. Fortunately I just now got broadband Internet hooked up. I could also just rent the dvds from Netflix but Id have to wait even longer, only the first 10 episodes have been released so far.

and I was enjoying Moributo too.:(

Well, you can buy a good old VCR for pretty cheap now, you don't even need a DVR though that would be better. They're absolutely essential pieces of equipment in my view, sometimes I find it hard to believe some people don't have them. Then again something always seems to come up like work or college or friends to interfere with my shows so I always have a tape in and the thing programmed.

I'd really like a DVR but I can't bear to throw away a good well made piece of electronics that's not broken. I've had the same VCR for like 12 years now it's worked perfectly and the same TV for 7 or 8. When it breaks then I'll go for the upgrade I think. Apparently modern tech isn't exactly up to those standards as I've been through 3 DVD players in the past 8 years. :wtf:

i think they hate Anime because Tim & Eric have more show ideas

heh, actually I forgot that I do have a vcr but I havent used it in ages & I dont feel like setting it up(yeah lazy lazy). Id rather just try to watch it online for now.
Speaking of which, I went to their site but Im confused about how to watch the episodes. Everything seems to be split into different segments...where do I click to watch the whole episode? EDIT: nevermind I figured it out.

Yeah, it used to nice and simple and of course AS had to go and screw with that too. *Sigh* :shifty:

why did they even bother getting CG R2 if they're going to bury it in the grave shift slot!?:scream:

Well Code Geass is available on the Adult Swim Fix, which offers free and legal streaming episodes.

They did that with Dot Hack Root as well, they just don't get anime...

Wow that isn't even worth their time to order a hit on those two no talent ass clowns...

Only one segment in 20 of theirs is a slight bit funny. I think most is just a shock squemish factor.

At least Fat Guy Stuck in internet and Saul of the molemen have an actual story line.

If they cancel Venture Bros next I am going to never watch that channel again.

around the time Tim and Eric started airing I just stopped tuning in. easier just to rent anime through Netflix, and Venture Brothers and Metalcolypse are reshown on the website. can't think of any other AS properties worth watching...

i know atleast 3 guys who send them threats

it seems everyone on the Williams Street staff gets the chance to have their own show. I bet Assy Mcgee was the janitor's idea.

Adult Swim has been dissing anime fans for years now. They made it a point to show that their comedies tend to pull in three times the ratings of the action shows and never hesitated to preempt Saturday nights to run a marathon of comedies during sweeps periods or just whenever they felt like it. Pulling anime from weeknights was a blow, but it was softened with Saturdays would still be mostly anime.

But to consign Code Geass and Morbito to the Dead Zone? You only do that to shows you've given up on and will eventually yank from the schedule altogether.

I've been hearing people talk that Adult Swim is going to drop anime altogether one day. I guess they were right...

The part that makes no sense to me - do they really think Full Metal Alchemist reruns are going to rate higher than new episodes of Code Geass? That's the logic they've put forth, and it makes no sense.

Of course, Geass and Morbito do share something; they're both Bandai shows (and the only Bandai shows on Adult Swim to my knowledge). Is it something to do with Bandai that's the actual cause? I doubt Bandai would request it, but maybe Bandai has done something to piss off Cartoon Network.

They honestly do based on past performance. Full Metal Alchemist, InuYasha, and Cowboy Bebop are tentpole shows that still pull in fairly decent numbers for reruns, and Adult Swim thinks FMA will do better than Code Geass.

Gundam.

^ Could it be that CN is mad at Bandai for going to the Sci-Fi channel and letting them get first dibs on Gundam 00 and Gurren Lagann? Kinda makes me wonder although I thought CN was done with things like GL and Gundam.

Cartoon Network couldn't care less about Gundam 00--yep, they were officially through with the Gundam franchise in 2005. Gundam Wing was the only real hit CN had and the entire franchise was more or less an epic fail as far as they were concerned.

General rule of thumb now is that robot shows don't work anymore on either CN or Adult Swim--it's just Pokemon, Naruto, and (for now) Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

Viz is CN's best friend these days, not Bandai, IMO...

this reminds me of the early days, remember when they were all for anime & made a lot of ads to support it? I still remember the promos they had for Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, Big O, Samurai Champloo & all the bumpers- those that had the sillhouettes of the characters. Those were the good old days...What the hell happenned?
