what's next for Marvel (movies)?

MCU movies titles:

I saw that this morning. And I think this is where Marvel has kicked DC's ass, they're going by a plan that has been in play for almost a decade now, and meanwhile DC is just throwing shit at the wall and seeing if it sticks (that's not a comment on the DC movies' quality, just DC's movie making tactics).

That article does bring up an interesting point. With all these comic book movies coming out from here until at least 2021, could franchise fatigue start settling in for a lot of cinema-goers?

Being a huge comic book fan (and namely a Marvel fan) I think this is a great time to be a fan. But of course not everyone thinks like me.

It is something to think about though.

People have been saying that for years. The superhero genre is still as popular as ever. We don't have anything to worry about as long as we keep getting good movies. ;)

Good read.

I don't think anyone should be too surprised that there is a rough plan of Marvel films through 2021. When I first read it a few days ago I wasn't. Feige said it best, what we planned for 2015 back in 2006 has happened. Long term planning is par for the course for Feige/Marvel Studios.

Like the editorial comment inserted by the writer of that piece I too think Defenders seems like a likely path after an Avengers trilogy. Strange, Hulk, Namor(beat Aquaman to screen also) and they may have Silver Surfer back then.

Yeah, that was interesting. What Feige has managed to do really is very impressive, and pretty much a first in movies as far as I know. You've got to give the man props for that if nothing else. It would be interesting to see what becomes of the MCU if/when he is no longer involved.

I don't think Marky Mark would be a horrible choice for a replacement, I also don't think he'd get it in a million years.

I echo the editorial of that piece, puts a damper on our Defenders film hopes.
What the article and Feige don't tell us is when then will Namor revert back?
I mean it's got to be sooner than later at this point....right?

I'm surprised Universal still have Namor rights after letting Hulk rights revert, Hulk is infinitely more popular.:vulcan:
