Untitled Star Trek - Discovery project

I think the Discovery project isn't a Discovery project per se, but related instead. Two words: Captain Pike.

It seems like the show that nearly everyone is asking for at this point. They'd almost be crazy not to make it happen. It would be at least as popular as Picard I'd guess. If they pivoted their model to have Discovery, Picard, and Pike as the 3 main shows, and have them playing fall, winter, spring....that would be a pretty good deal. And then once Picard or Discovery run the course (probably Picard first, given Sir Patrick's desire for a pretty limited involvement), you can backfill with S31 or whatever else is in the can.

The new Pike show is already in pre-production, called Strange New World. That name was also in Production Weekly. I think this is something different.

It would also be pretty cool if they were doing a two-part mini-series about Prime Lorca's ultimate fate, showing the destruction of the Buran, the "swap," and whatever happened to him in the MU. It's another one of those things lots of fans seem to talk about from time to time, and Lorca is a fan favorite (as is Jason Isaacs).

I'd not heard that officially. Is that official / confirmed?

Based on what? Has there been some official announcement?
If it wasn't for the lockdown, it would have been announced as part of the full 2021 Star Trek Universe line-up. For the last few months it has had the working title "Untitled Paramount Project". It's a feature film.

Source from CBS?

Source from CBS and/or Paramount?

They can't even agree about whether or not they want to continue with the cast from the last three movies. That's why the next one is stalled again. There's not going to be a feature film anytime soon.

^ Either provide a verifiable source for this stuff, or be quiet.
I'm happy sitting on stuff. I'm never going to provide "verifiable sources" again, because when I did that last time, I was accused of doxxing a production crew member. Before that, it was "don't share emails from Nickelodeon employees", even though in said emails they don't give a shit about being on here. This forum either wants sources, or it doesn't. Make up your minds collectively.

As I like the idea of people resenting you for the grandstanding, I won't talk about this project until it's formally announced.

I've mentioned to you before that as far as most people here are concerned, if you post things without sources, at best no one is going to believe you whether you're telling the truth or not, and at worst people are going to be annoyed with you that you're acting like a jackass by lording info over our heads with no intention of providing proof. Don't be that jackass.

As I like the idea of people resenting you for the grandstanding...

See, that's being a jackass. A little less of that would be nice.
