Thirty years ago, in the J.League's inaugural season, the Kashima Antlers made a statement win against Nagoya Grampus:
This weekend, a special 30th anniversary match between the two sides is set to take place at Tokyo National Stadium:
The game will be live streamed with English commentary on the J.League International YouTube channel - in those territories not already spoken for, at least - for anyone who wants to tune in for the occasion.

So when is a baseball jersey not a baseball jersey?

Admittedly, the material it's made of is not exactly of the same quality as that of the actual baseball jersey I picked up a couple of months ago. But this one is the cheaper of the two - so you get what you pay for, I suppose...
And also:
This year, Consadole have scored more goals than any other J1 League club... and have conceded almost as many. Which has led to results like this one:
Still, this means that whichever game they happen to be playing in a given week - such as this Sunday's J.League Cup group stage match - tends to be among the four matches picked to be live streamed (with English commentary) on the J.League International YouTube channel.

What gets me is because its sports related the offender will get some sporting sanction when in reality he should be serving time for his attack on the ref.
Henderson is one who has been mentioned. Personally can't understand why he moved there other than money, but while his liverpool career was coming to an end he would easily have got a contract on significant money elsewhere, even if it was nothing like he would get there.
There will be few who sympathise with him having claimed to be an active supporter of the LGBTQ+ community before his move.
Surely if him and others want a move then the clubs would demand hefty transfer fees which clubs may not want to pay.
PMFJI, but I was just reminded of those World Cup games that are coming to the US in '26.
A lot of these games are being played in stadiums that aren't wide enough to accommodate a regulation pitch. Isn't that going to present, well, a problem?
Oh and on a completely unrelated matter I am glad I found out about this thread because I was going to start a Premier League thread (I've recently become a huge fan of Liverpool FC) but I was too chicken to do it.

They will come up with a way no doubt, removing seats etc. Probably agree on some compromise for group games if certain stadia can't have their pitchers widened enough.
Did see one of the stadiums has ambitions to stage the European Champions League final there. Money talks I know but I really hope that doesn't happen.

Seattle is hosting six World Cup games in 2026, with the American team being one of the first teams to play.
The stadium is dual purpose, it already hosts Sounders games and other exhibition matches, so it should have no trouble accommodate the fans coming to watch the games.

Well, yeah, I'm sure they can take care of the fans, I was just concerned about some of those stadiums (like MetLife Stadium) which are clearly not WIDE enough to accommodate a pitch. Doesn't it have to be a certain distance wide?
There are some NFL stadiums which actually have a soccer configuration (with retracting seats) but stadiums like MetLife - and Arrowhead in KC, which I think is also hosting some of these World Cup matches - don't have that.

Fans in Premier League matches seem to chant and sing a lot. I think this is really cool, but how do they know WHEN to do so? They all seem to start at the same time, so there must be some sort of rule or guideline they're following. How do they know when, and what, they should sing or chant?
