News Star Trek Voyager Documentary

@Paul Camuso , thank you so much for the info. Yes, I'm outside the US, and now I know why I still haven't been able to see/ find the DS9 doc, even though that's my favorite trek show! Which is pretty much why I asked in the first place. Will check out the backers DVD option.
I don't know if this is allowed but here's the link: https://williamshatnerstore.com/what-we-left-behind-backer-edition-region-free-dvd-plus-blu-ray-set/ There's also the backers poster and the Theatrical Poster available there as well.

Will there be any theater screenings? The DS9 doc was shown worldwide on one day, that was cool!

We don't know as yet. We are doing 3 Premieres - LA, NYC and London in November of 2022 when we expect the movie to the be released so we have plenty of time to make that decision.

One of the things I'm most looking forward to about the Voyager doc is if there is an interview with Rick Berman. Some cast members do not have nice things to say about him. I'd like to hear his side of it though. It may be just that actors were upset because they didn't get what they asked for.

^Be careful how you ask the questions.

And I'm not sure what the EMH/Picardo have to do with Berman in this context. Are they both appearing at a con that you are about to attend?

I'll merge this thread with the pinned VOY documentary thread at the top of the forum. There has been a lot of interest and I'm trying to keep everything contained to that one thread for ease of access. :techman:

"From the Deep Space Nine film, I learned that this kind of project can’t just be talking heads; you can’t just cut from interview to interview to interview to interview to episode clip. We need something more than that, and for What We Left Behind, the “DS9 Season 8 Writers’ Room” segment gave us that. For Voyager, the truth is, we’re not sure yet exactly what kind of ‘surprise’ we are going to do — because we don’t own Star Trek. I will say, though, that we’re hoping to do something with the actors themselves, which will take a lot of negotiation and approval. We have very high aspirations!"

The immediate thing that comes to mind is filming *something* with the actors back in their original roles? Scenes, a mini drama, comedy sketch?? (if Paramount [ooh look -we can actually say that again!] can approve it)

Proud to be the 1,908th  on @BackerKit for The Star Trek Voyager Documentary. Thanks @voydocumentary

Check your junk folders for a Backerkit email confirming your perks. Easy to miss.

Check your emails folks they have shared a preview teaser for backers and asked that backers do not share it. There is nothing of real substance beyond showing some of the folks they have roped into appear, strangely I thought it was just guest and Trek related folks but it also includes Tim Russ and Robert Beltran which is really odd why single out those two and not the rest of the cast?

I wonder if the documentary will include an original sketch where Q snaps his fingers and turns Bujold's Janeway into Mulgrew's?

Talk about remastering.
