Star Trek Timelines

I still play, but not sure why. It's just farming, can't figure out what the actual game play is even supposed to be. No strategy, no skill, literally just farmville with Trek skin put on it. And there's never enough slots for the things you farm, so you end up with a roster full of the special bonus characters they give you, but you just throw them away for the new ones because it's impossible to get them leveled up; you don't see that character come around very often after the event ends...

Even then, what do you do with them? Set up more farming missions.

ST Timelines will be headed to Steam for Windows, they're going to have a closed beta soon if anyone is interested. You can get the link to register for it when logging into the game, in the messages section.

I started playing this game they day it was released and played for several months but go mad at it always wanting us to spend big $$$ and the people getting the top spots are dropping huge amounts of cash for it (so unStarTrek wth) so I left it untouched until about a month ago. It seems to improved a bit as far as dropping better characters from the events though getting anywhere in the top section is still impossible without spending big money. I really just like it when the characters talk lol, I wish more of them did. I've been saving all my daily dilithum since I saw that there was a Q ten pack you could buy for 650 so if I see that again I'm going to get as many as possible. <3 Currently have 1650. I got the 4 star Human Q from when I saw it last time but was unable to get another pack. Back when the game was new I spent easily over 150$ in the span of 5 or 6 months, at least I have 105 crew spots and level 8 VIP. When they started those deals of only 100$ for a bunch of stuff I just got really mad at it and took a long hiatus.

My maxed out crew are 2/4 star Human Q, 3/3 star Prisoner 'Bones' McCoy, 2/2 star Enterprise-D Picard, 2/2 star Promoted Sisko, 2/2 star Lt Commander Data, 1 star CMO Bashir. I desperatly need a better Starfleet 2 star medic the but Basic Rewards 10 pack never drops anything good, I won't even use my Federation Credits on it anymore unless I have close to a million.

I made my own fleet after my old one disbanned when I was on hiatus, 'blazzinup,' you can join if you'd like.

Does anybody know why they removed John de Lancie's intro from the star up? :< I was uber sad when I noticed this.

There's a daily dilithium card you can buy $3.99 per 30 days for 100 dilithium per day. I think it's a reasonable cost to get access to some premium content on a regular basis.

It is still quite a problem that there is no in game method of generating dilithium even a small amount.

Ahh ok, thanks. I misunderstood, I thought he was saying that you can receive free dilithium.

Sounds like a cash grab that's even more soulless than the Fluidic Space Browser game.

Yeah, they're totally greedy. Even if you could get any sort of free dilithum it would probably be something that only the people that spent the most money would be able to access. :<

So can I get on the Trekbbs fleet, or am I getting a ”no one/barley anyone plays there" vibe?

I've been concerned about the lack of activity in the TrekBBS fleet. The current event all but about a hundred of my squadrons event points have been earned by me. Sadly, this is typical of the fleet.

I just decided to start a new Fleet. It's called the TrekBBS Armada (in honor of the Star Trek Online TrekBBS Fleet). Search for the request to join and you'll be in before the end of the day. Active players please feel free to join.

I like the game. The space battles are the closest thing android has to Star Trek Bridge Commander or Star Trek Legacy (my favorite Trek games next to Armada), the PvP section is fun (my Borg Queen is a beast in her field), and the events unlock what the lack of free dillithium would buy you (even better with a monthly pass).

The away missions could be expanded. Is Episode 7 as far as the story goes or am I missing something? The challenges add to it but I liked reading the stories. They feel like Trek episodes.

I'm in. Hopefully we can get a good squadron together. I'm currently getting thousands with my current squad (and I'm racking up quite a bit for them too).

I just received 3000 chronitons for free as a thanks for playing. They're not that greedy.

I got that as well, my biggest complaint is how you need dilithium to get more space for more crew members. I caved and purchased the monthly pass.

I have tried other games in the past and gotten bored very quickly. Especially the type where you have to build everything under the sun and after the first two or three it takes hours unless you want to dump in a bunch of cash.

With Timelines I find there is always something to keep me entertained. If I get bored with leveling up characters there are away missions, or space battles. The daily Dilithium package is a good value but there is plenty of free stuff to be had if you just pay attention to timing.

Over all I find it a clever and original concept, plus I love how much they have paid attention to all of Trek. I got Travis Mayweather`s MOTHER of all things and she is a bad ass. (If only the same could be said about her son)

Do I have to leave any existing fleet before I can join another one as I can't see any option to join a new fleet.

Does anyone understand how the Gauntlet works by the way? I've got about 15 characters maxed out at 100% with all slots filled but if I use them for Gauntlet it only gives me a fraction of their actual levels. And yet, I see the same character appear on someone else's Gauntlet and they've got higher levels.

Let me help you out here.

You have to leave one fleet before you can join another.

The gauntlet doesn't use the base skill levels, it used the proficiency levels of the characters (the numbers that are rolled at the end of the skill checks). My character with the strongest security skill is Ba'ku Worf, but his proficiency is low, so my character with the highest security proficiency is Jazz Musician Odo. So I've never used Ba'ku Worf for the gauntlet, but Jazz Musician Odo is in almost every time.

Ah okay. In that case, I've applied to join the fleet - the name's Basil Disco (stop laughing at the back...)

Ahhhhhhhhhh now I get it! That clears it up for me. So although I have 'Captain Janeway' at 718 for command, I should be using 'Mirror Archer' because while he's only 633 for command, his proficiency is '186-409'. Higher than Janeway's '106-261'.

I'll be using different characters going forward then.

Yeah, that's good to know. I've been kicking butt in there but I was just picking my higher level characters.

The last time I checked, we still need two more active users to join the fleet to complete a full squadron.

Enlist today!

Also, I just immortalized Picard and Sisko. Though I imagine it would have been easier purchasing stuff to get by, I've done a great deal with only purchasing 1 monthly card so far. I have a level three Borg Scout ship and Enterprise D, and a level 5 Constellation class to boot, as well as a Borg Tuvok, a Borg Queen, a Captain Pike, and a Commander Tomalak through the events.

Now, with the 2.0 update, achievements have been added accompanying daily missions, which offers 100 dillithium for the first immortalized character as well as the 10th (not sure if there's more after that yet).

And I've just added Judge Q and Chancellor Martok to my crew.
